i vote trez over amauri...trez is dying to get back to scoring, he will be more motivated. besides, trez needs to start hitting his form before chelsea, he needs to play.

i think they should be played based on form

but by default trez should get the start because we need his killer instinct on the field

his presence alone causes defenses the shudder

Trez is ready for Samp Thursday 12 February, 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus striker David Trezeguet is hungry to start against Sampdoria after playing in today's training friendly.

The Old Lady looked to increase the intensity of their training today at Vinovo by taking on Sixth Division side Chisola in three periods of 20 minutes.

The Turin giants dominated as expected with Amauri, Vincenzo Iaquinta and Claudio Marchisio finding the net.

There was also good news as defender Giorgio Chiellini played 35 minutes without any sign of injury problems.

Meanwhile, French marksman Trezeguet, who has battled back from double knee surgery, is raring to go after playing in a trident with Amauri and Iaquinta and is hoping to start against Sampdoria this weekend.

“I feel good and I have such desire to play, to score and to celebrate” he said on the Juventus Channel.

“Over the last few days I have worked hard and I am happy to be available and ready to give my contribution.

“Sampdoria are a tight team and they troubled us in the first game this season costing us two important points.

“In Antonio Cassano they have a great player who can make the difference.

“We will have to do well and manage the game from the off if we are to secure the three points that are crucial to us.

“Then we will have to wait for the Milan derby to see if we have closed the gap at the top.

“We must continue as we have been playing and take each game as it comes.”

Trezeguet also looked ahead to the Champions League last 16 against Chelsea led by new boss Guus Hiddink.

“A great Coach has left in Luiz Felipe Scolari, but another has arrived in Hiddink and he can give his experience,” Trez stated.

“Hiddink's arrival will fire the team up. They will be great games and we want to be at our best.”
