Trezeguet Blast: Not Good Enough Technically
Juventus hitman David Trezeguet has issued a sensational attack on his club, saying that they must stop dreaming of winning any trophies because they are technically not good enough.
This season was always going to be tough for the Bianconeri following their post-Calciopoli promotion, and many people believed that qualification for the Champions League would be a good return on their first year back in the top-flight.
However a fine early part to the campaign had many Juve fans dreaming of better things and these hopes were heightened when Claudio Ranieri, perhaps unwisely, stated that his team were going to fight for the Scudetto.
Trezeguet came on as an early substitute in yesterday’s 2-2 Coppa Italia draw with Inter, and watched his team struggle for long periods of the game against only 10 men.
"
The game today showed we still have a lot of work to do. Dreaming about titles and glory is useless,” he blasted.
"Technically, we are not good enough at the moment."
Juventus have been heavily criticised for their lack of creativity in the team, especially in the centre of midfield where Ranieri currently employs two defensive holding players in the form of Cristiano Zanetti and Antonio Nocerino.
While Trezeguet is desperate for the club to bring in some creative talent, Ranieri certainly doesn’t seem to be addressing the Frenchman’s grievances.
‘The Tinkerman’ is close to wrapping up a deal for Liverpool’s defensive, holding midfielder Momo Sissoko for €15m, a
player who most Juve fans are bitterly opposed to signing, and who has scored just two goals in his career.
