You could have also just said you felt Trezeguet was a better player. Look, Del Piero has been a Juventus symbol for many years now and has won almost everything there is to win. Even if you still doubt his capabilities I think it's unfair to call him an inconsistent and overrated choker.

There are certain players you have to respect even though you don't like them. Scholes, Ronaldo, Beckham, Zidane, those are players that deserve respect no matter what. And so does Del Piero.

If you're going to talk in such demeaning fashion, make sure you talk of people like Zlatan.
There is a reason why Del Piero never suceeded on a World Cup our European championship, or never won the Golden Ball or something similar.

As for his character and leadership and his Juventus career, I didn´t say one thing.

Del Piero from 1995-1998 >>>>>>>> Del Piero from 1999 to 2007.

What are you talking about? Del Piero WON a World Cup, scored in the semi-final and converted one of the five penalty kicks in the final. That's pretty much what you'd call succeeding.

Look, he fucked up at Euro 2000, but that doesn't annihilate his entire career. And I disagree. Del Piero was great in 1998, but he also was great in several other seasons, although he was indeed not so consistent.

I think otherwise, players like Pirlo, Zambrotta, Perrotta and Gattuso were decisive. Grosso´s penalty and his goal against Germany were more important than Del Piero´s, with all due respect.

If DP had missed, France would have won or at least it would have been very difficult for Italy to bounce back. Sure, Pirlo, Gattuso, Zambrotta and Grosso were the heart and sould of Italy and yes, they were more decisive. But that doesn't take away Del Piero was badly needed, if only for that sweet spot kick.

Trezeguet is a more complete striker than Del Piero. Del Piero is an overrated unconsistant choker.
That's a very biased opinion and you stated it only to provoke. You are hardly making a discussion here.

What you said here doesn't make sense at all.

It's sure Del Piero is not the old Del piero anymore, but come on, what is he doing the last two years is a fact you can't ignore it, he was a key player for Juve and was successful the last two years . And as for the Azzurri, maybe he wasn't as influential as others, but you can't say he chocked, he did what was he asked too, you can't expect more than that from a player of his age, while the other attackers at his age got just disappeared..
