Valencia chief Carboni risks Flores wrath with transfer plans
tribalfooball.com - April 24, 2007

Valencia sports director Amedeo Carboni is trawling the Italian market for a new striker.

Despite the disappointment of Ciccio Tavano's move to Spain this season, Carboni will try again this summer to bring a big-name forward from Italy this summer.

The top two names on Carboni's shopping list are Juventus star David Trezeguet and Inter Milan's Argentine centre-forward Julio Cruz.

Should Carboni push through his plans, he's sure to spark another row with coach Quique Sanchez Flores, who would prefer to bring in a young Spanish striker next season - with Espanyol's Luis Garcia his top target.
