the daily star is one of the most idiotic papers in circulation the red tops in britain mean that you should lave your brain on the front page. they pick out transfer stories out of thin air, very rarely getting anything right. but you can be damn sure that when tehy hit eth target they ahve a big "we told you first" headline. pot luck sensationalism is their mantra, dont believe a word of it

mostly true, though maybe if you saw an interview live on tv with a certain agent you might be singing a different tune.

when was the last time he scored ?
how many goals he scored this season?
Against Standard, less than 20 days ago...

He was suspended for three matches before that, so any conclusion you're trying to reach depending on his scoring this season won't be very valid...

i think the conclusion is clear , he is either injured or playing without scoring (remove the 3 games he was suspended in) you will see he got very low scoring rate

unless you are talking about his idol eto'o

FFS show the man some respect, lets eb honest if trez goes in teh summer there will be along line of TOP clubs willing to take his services on board. he ahs had a poor season through injury, loss of form and confidence but that does not make him a bad player suddenly.

i would still rather have trez than 90% of the strikers in europe, when he hits form again make that 95%

he scored 9 goals , the same as nedved , since nedved is not a striker and he was out for 5 games , this tells you what form trez is this season

Wow, m_elayyan back to stating the most obvious things, yes he's out of form but players go through that and guess what, IT PASSES!! Now do yourself and us a favour and go watch some Joga Bonito videos.

In some ways I'm beginning to think we should cash in on David before it's too late. Not because he isn't useful anymore or any less of a player, but because we could potentially lose him for free next summer. That is something we cannot allow happen as we need all the money we can receive. If we get a decent offer for Trezeguet we might just have to accept unless he extends his contract with Juventus. But if that doesn't happen we will be forced into selling him to the highest bidder, which will indeed be a shame but that is just the football business. Trez has been an incredible player for us but unfortunately he might have other ideas in his mind..

That's common sense and we cetainly must sell him if he's unwilling to extend. But the situation is unchanged for the whole season, one day you read he's staying, he loves the club, etc. and the other day he's missing CL and wants a new experience. Bottom line is if we are going to keep any of our stars we need quality investments to be made in the summer, no one will dedicate himself to this squad which will be uncompetitive in Serie A. One thing's for sure, if Trezeguet decides to stay he will renew his contract, it would be sheer madness from our board to let him stay for a year and let him leave for nothing after that. It all depends on the summer market, nothing else.

maher takes great pleasure in telling us that trez is awful, its kinda perverse.
trez is lacking confidence after hitting a dreadful run of form but that does not suddenly make hima bad player, like i said an out of form trez is still better than 90% of forwards in europe. he will be back with a bang next year, whether he is still with us or not. then all the haters will be crying that we leta great goalscorer leave too cheaply

I have absolutelly no doubts about him getting back to his best, it's just a matter of time. Trez always goes throgh rough patches, though such a long one like this season is a first. I think it's because of the leauge. Had we been in Serie A I'm certain he would be on 20 goals now. The leauge doesn't suit him, the opponents are overly defensive and agressive, plus the motivation is lacking. Now he's in such a bad slump his confidence is low and it's gonna be hard for him to get back into form this season, with only 11 games remaining. But once we're back to Serie A we'll see the old Trezeguet, no doubts about it.
