Poblacht na h Éireann.
The Provisional Government
of the
Irish Republic
To the people of Ireland.
IRISHMEN AND IRISHWOMEN: In the name of God and of the dead generations from which she receives her old tradition of nationhood, Ireland, through us, summons her children to her flag and strikes for her freedom.
Having organised and trained her manhood through her secret revolutionary organisation, the Irish Republican Brotherhood, and through her open military organisations, the Irish Volunteers and the Irish Citizen Army, having patiently perfected her discipline, having resolutely waited for the right moment to reveal itself, she now seizes that moment, and, supported by her exiled children in America and by gallant allies in Europe, but relying in the first on her own strength, she strikes in full confidence of victory.
We declare the right of the people of Ireland to the ownership of Ireland, and to the unfettered control of Irish destinies, to be sovereign and indefeasible. The long usurpation of that right by a foreign people and government has not extinguished the right, nor can it ever be extinguished except by the destruction of the Irish people. In every generation the Irish people have asserted their right to national freedom and sovereignty: six times during the past three hundred years they have asserted it in arms. Standing on that fundamental right and again asserting it in arms in the face of the world, we hereby proclaim the Irish Republic as a Sovereign Independent State, and we pledge our lives and the lives of our comrades-in-arms to the cause of its freedom, of its welfare, and its exaltation among the nations.
The Irish Republic is entitled to, and hereby claims, the allegiance of every Irishman and Irishwoman. The Republic guarantees religious and civil liberty, equal rights and equal opportunities to all its citizens, and declares its resolve to pursue the happiness and prosperity of the whole nation and of all its parts, cherishing all the children of the nation equally, and oblivious of the differences carefully fostered by an alien government, which have divided a minority from the majority in the past.
Until our arms have brought the opportune moment for the establishment of a permanent National Government, representative of the whole people of Ireland and elected by the suffrages of all her men and women, the Provisional Government, hereby constituted, will administer the civil and military affairs of the Republic in trust for the people.
We place the cause of the Irish Republic under the protection of the Most High God, Whose blessing we invoke upon our arms, and we pray that no one who serves that cause will dishonour it by cowardice, inhumanity, or rapine. In this supreme hour the Irish nation must, by its valour and discipline and by the readiness of its children to sacrifice themselves for the common good, prove itself worthy of the august destiny to which it is called.

I agree with the Irish Zebra on this. We need to be pragmatic; no room for nostalgia and romanticism (from a footballing perspective that is).

Trez, Camo, and even DP (but only if he wants to, and if a mega offer came from some club in the Gulf, J-League or the MLS) may all leave, if the club deems it fit, and they wish to do so.

Its all relative. In this case, and with the aforementioned players, offers of 7-10 million Euros would be considered mega offers. The reference to mega offers in my post was in relation to the salaries the players can aspire to get, not so much how much Juve can pocket from any potential transaction.

So how do you think the ultras would react to DP/Trez leaving for those kinds of amounts & being replaced with the likes of Pazzini/Kuranyi?

How much would be lost on merchandise those two bring in?

You're talking about two living Juve legends that have broken all sorts of records & have served the club well for longer than a decade. How many players do that, these days?

Sometimes we as Juve fans are so spoilt that we don't realize how lucky we are to have seen these two in our life time. I'm glad to see how some of you would like our club legends to be treated.

I would keep del piero, one he is our captain and club legend plus he can still play a part in this team off the bench.

However, Trezeguet needs to go. Thanks for your efforts and goals but you are 33 years of age, you get injured a lot and you are not the future for juve.

Same goes with Camo....we'll never move on as long as we are relying on these older guys to play key roles in our team.

So Trez is not a legend? How is DP the future for Juve?

If Trez should move along, we might as well do the same with DP. He is older than Trez afterall.

Shut up!

Del Piero, Trez, camo has done really well for the club, but it is time to say goodbye to them. I know that you must treat legends with respect, which I have always done. I have never written or said a bad word about them and never comes to it!

My point is: It is time to "juvenise" the team so that we can start next season with full force. I think all fans would agree/accept if the legends themselves said stop. I wish that Del Piero will be allocated a job in the club and thus may help to revive the young talents in the years ahead. For now, we face the need to include younger forces - it's time to see the truth and make the changes that can make our proud club back where it belongs, as champions in series A.

Hope I have not offended anyone with my thread!

Ps. for now, let us take the 4th spot
