treading a fine line there this man demands your respect. i look around and see poeple giving mass threads to ass clowns like igor tudor, boumsong and chimenti. this man has given us fantastic service, loyalty, pressence and a barrel load of goals in his time with the club.
if he was to leave and go to a new club i will still fondly remember him and will always view him as a legend.

to think some people think more of thuram, who forced his way out of the club, than trezegol is sickening.
:agree: totally agree

Gila and Trez swap clubs? Thursday 1 March, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After being linked to Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose, Juventus have reportedly set their sights on Alberto Gilardino to replace David Trezeguet.

The Bianconeri have always had a link to the former Parma striker, who used to be a Juve fan as a child, and Gilardino is now at the top of their wanted list for the summer transfer window.

During January Milan were thought to be interested in David Trezeguet, so it is inevitably being rumoured that the two clubs could come to an exchange agreement over the pair.

Gila is yet to find his best form at the San Siro, despite being in his second season there. The arrival of Ronaldo has threatened to limit his playing time and the frequent Ronaldinho rumours have forced Gilardino to consider his future.

The negotiations could also include Juve ’keeper Gianluigi Buffon. It is no secret that the Rossoneri are looking for possible replacements for Nelson Dida as the Brazilian will be a free agent in June.

It will be hard to convince Juventus though, and it is claimed that the only way they will get the goalie would be by offering the 25-year-old striker, who has a contract with Milan until 2011.

“It is more important who is here right now than who will come here this summer,” commented Bianconeri defender Federico Balzaretti.

“It isn’t great to hear so many names linked to Juventus and it is not fair towards the players who have decided to stay and give their all to earn promotion to Serie A.

“If we want to win the Scudetto we will need some new players, but at the moment we would be as good as Palermo or even better. That’s why I believe that the base of the new team should be the current one,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Alberto Gilardino isn’t the only name on the Bianconeri shopping list.
Coach Didier Deschamps has also asked for an attacking midfielder with Portuguese star Deco and French revelation Franck Ribery leading the candidates.

Gilardino shows signs of brilliance one game and is invisible the next. I know Trez is leaving and we need to replace him with a big name, class striker, but I would rather see Amauri here before Gilardino. I am a fan of potential, but not a fan of excessive inconsistency.

How do you know??
I thought he made it very clear to us on multiple occasions. Maybe I should have used the phrase "almost positive" as opposed to I know. Listen, I think Trez is awesome as I am sure you do too. But, the sooner you accept the fact that he is going to leave us next year the easier that pill will be to swallow.

He fits our style well, and has served us well. However, he was extremely pissed off when he was "forced" to stay here last year and he has had a poor attitude when asked about things in the press.

It would be great if he stays, but out of all the players we have that are questionable for next season I believe that without a doubt he will leave us. In my mind and my thoughts, from what i've heard come out of his mouth, deep inside "I know" he will be leaving us.

Lets focus on filling his very large shoes.

TBH I also think he is on the verge of leaving, but I´m hoping otherwise. However, neither me or you don´t know if he is leaving. If we make some great transfer moves, he may surprise us.....

Funny I thought Trez only demanded a competitive squad, like DP, Buffon, Camo, to stay. I didn't know his exit was a sure thing.

Vlatko,

I don't think we can keep him motivated to pay one extra year without CL and probably no chance on the title yet, I think he will leave.

I think it will be easier than you think, it's upto the management. Only one thing is for sure, we can't know anything now.

And this thread should still be sticky.

Out of all our stars I never saw Camo staying, he was the least commited to the club, showed least love and respect.
