He scored 10 goals so far he's obviously a great player . He doesn't always play a good game , he rarely does actually , but he anages to score goals . Kind of like Inzaghi . That's not bad , it's just not consistency in my opinion .

He's not like David Villa or Eto'o a player that takes the ball dribbles, creates chances for himself and others out of nothing. He one dimensional in the sense that he relies on others to create chances for him. The reason why he is an excelent player that he is soo good at scoring goals that it covers for his shortcomings.

This is the reason that Trez, as you said gos missing. It's mostly due to lack of decent service from the other forward and midfield and because he doesn't have the ability to take the ball and create chances, he goes missing.

Goals aren't the issue with Trezeguet as Ive said a million times . It's just how he plays in half the games . I just think he should have had a bigger impact when he doesn't score but that's just the player he is . Not my fav. type of player but he gets the job done .

But he is a STRIKER. What do you expect from Trez? To run from the attack and go help Buffon, then dribble all the opposition players and score a goal?

He's there to score goals, hes done it 150 times since Euro 2000, had many injuries, fought for playing time in a couple of those seasons, spent a year in B. He does his job as well as any player in the past 6 years, except maybe Gigi.

I don't remember reading about this as a record, but i also don't remember someone scoring at least a goal in 9 consecutive serie A matches.

Trezeguet is a pure striker. it means that his job is to score goals and nothing more. yeah, he doesn`t have the skills to dribble, but he doesn`t miss chances in fron of the net (and this is something rare these days) it`s hard to find a striker such as Trez who scores from a half-chance. like the one against Torino :nerd:

i would agree with you here!

he is very one dimensional, but play the ball in the box and he will find space and score. When he is quiet, he just isn't getting the service!

In other words , if Juve is inconsistent , Trezeguet is inconsistent . The only thing that covers that flaw is the fact he scores goals , and that's great . But my only concern is when we play a game against a tough side and nothing is going right for us , and our team just can't create chances . Would you rather have a player like Del piero or Trez to turn the game around a steal a victory ?

You can call players consistent(strikers) even if they don't score goals because they do something on the pitch . You can only call Trez consistent when he does score goals and for no other reason because his performances are never really that impressve , it's the number of goals he scores that make him impressive .

So here's the thing , if Trez played for a team that couldn't set him up in attack , would he even be noticed ? Probably not .
I know it sounds stupid to call a guy that scores nearly every game inconsistent , but just try looking at trez and the way he plays sometimes . You won't get impressed . You have a point, but you're making a mistake by throwing him in the same category as those players. He's just not one of those players, never has been and will never be one.
