Trezeguet Agent Names Top English, Spanish Clubs
David Trezeguet has lifted the lid on the Premiership's interest in him. However, he did not completely rule out the possibility of staying on at Juventus.
zoom - galleria Patrizia Pighini, Trezeguet's agent, has hinted that Manchester United, Arsenal and Barcelona are interested in his client, though he voiced concerns over their willingness to meet his demands.
"David has a rather high salary, so we'll have to see if clubs like Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester United will need a player of his characteristics," began Patrizia Pighini.
"In the next weeks we'll see if someone is sold, and then that could free up a place and Trezeguet would become a new player for the market."
The movements of Thierry Henry and Samuel Eto'o are what he was hinting at, as clubs are unlikely to meet Trezeguet's demand just to keep him on the bench.
"Lyon? They have always been interested in him, but I'm sure that for David his main objective is to remain with Juve until 2008," continued Pighini.
"It is not that Trezeguet must leave Juve. He still has a year on his contract, until June 2008, and means to respect it.
"He remains disappointed by the fact they forced him to extend, but at the moment they have gone quiet and nothing has been done. David does not have anything else other than respect for the contract that he has."
