Yes yes yes. Pizarro has always been one of my favourite players in Serie A, the man is as close to Pirlo in the league as you can get. Very rarely loses the ball, I think Conte would love to have him with us. Even on a 2 year contract would be a very good deal. Get him Marotta :weee:

This would be a fantastic move. 6 month loan? Damn...wonderful! I have always liked Pizzaro, wonderful technique, awesome passing. I have always wondered why Juve didnt buy him cause clearly, and i mean this serious, he is a fantastic player. Wonderful sub, and 32 years is not that old for his position. Its not like we are buying him to be starting 11. Im sure many of you doubters will be impressed by him. Trust me on this.

Good move for Pizarro. The bench in Juventus stadium is so much more comfortable then the one in Rome.

Pizarro is an excellent player - probably the best midfielder in Serie A a couple of years ago.

Still, can Juve afford the Pirlo backup to be a player that couldn't be on the pitch at the same time as Pirlo?

Pizarro is the better player, but I think Montolivo would be a better signing.

Why is that?

I think Pizarro would be more appropriate, despite of his age. But anyway, I don't see Montolivo accepting bench role.

I think Pizarro and Pirlo could share the same pitch against teams who throw ten men behind the ball, push Pirlo further up the pitch and have David as the regista. More creativity to break down the smaller teams the better if you ask me.

Because Montolivo can cover all three positions in the midfield to a decent standard and could play at the same time as Pirlo.

I can't imagine Pizarro and Pirlo on the pitch at the same time, so it seems to be a bit of a waste of a place in the squad to me.

If Juve have the cash to sign a mobile backup for Marchisio and Vidal as well as signing Pizarro, then signing Pizarro would be a good move.

but with pizzaro in our team we could rest pirlo more often without totally disrupting our game plan. a fresh pirlo is what we all need and if we get pizzaro on a permanent basis we again had good cover on that position for european competition. add to that, that pirlo will be exhausted due to the european championship with gli azzurri after the summer.

One of them would get in the way of the other. With players like Pirlo/Pizarro, it's better to have one of them starting with all their teammates being mobile enough to create space for a lethal pass. Otherwise both would try and dictate play.

Maybe we're relying on Appelt. He'll be available now.
