Jankulovski could be an option, with Zambro in Milan.
Jankulovski is in a big decline. Not a good option. That's why Milan insisted on Zambrotta, so they can finally have a good player on the left side of defense and a good player for offensive runs / crosses.

And all they got was someone who can give assists for the opponents. :D

If I have to choose between a CB and a winger playing fullback, I would choose a CB.

Who agreed Molinaro is good defensively? I certainly didn't. He may be Ok when a forward runs at him, but his positioning and marking are abysmal.

I never said I prefer Molinaro to Pranjic. I expect us to sign a new LB, and so I said no to Pranjic on the basis that I feel we can sign a better LB, not because I think Molinaro is better.

Just crossed trough my mind.....

Pranjic actually started as some kind of leftback,he was LWB in Osijek days and in Dinamo.....

In Heerven he was moved in advanced position cuz of hiss crossing skills

I'd take Zhirkov over Pranjic anyday....when are we gonna be linked with some defenders for gods sake!!! Our board need to start multitasking..not this one position at a time b.s that is taking forever to get anyone decent and attracting our rivals attention on players they have on their shortlist...i say negotiate all at once and then take it from there so our rivals don't know what is speculation and what isn't...this way we'll be able to snag a decent player under the radar and then pay a bit of a premium on someone we are in a bidding war for!

Again, both Zirkhov and Pranjic are more suited to playing left-wing and not left-back. I'm not saying they can't play the latter, but they didn't really impress me much defensively. In other words, I'd rather have a Thuram back there than a Roberto Carlos (minus the mercenary talk, of course).

Meh, he's 26 and this is the first tournament where he's come on the radar.

How would you compare him to someone such as Grosso?

Thats pretty much what I've been saying.

A fullbacks primary job is to defend.
Indeed, but then again a fullback must get better crosses off than Molinaro.

Sure.

But I would tolerate Molinaro's attacking incompetence, if it wasn't for his defensive incompetence.

After an impressive debut with Croatia at Euro 2008, Danijel Pranjic has become Juve’s latest target.

Having been linked Roma and endorsed by Palermo’s Igor Budan in recent days, Croatian international Danijel Pranjic has now come under the radar at Juventus.

In fact, latest reports are claiming the 26-year-old winger, who plays his club football in the Eredivisie with SC Heerenveen, is now close to signing with the Bianconeri.

Pranjic himself confirmed that he is looking for a new challenge and that a move is imminent: “I feel I am ready for a new adventure. Last year I prolonged my contract until 2012, however, I now want to play at the highest level.”

Pranjic has the ability to adapt his game to play closer to a team’s backline, but has also shown to be effective when taking on a man in one-on-one situations and going for goal. Pranjic has been with Heerenveen since 2005, where he has found the net sixteen times and contributed to a number of goals for the Dutch club.

Pranjic showed his inclination to go forward at Euro 2008 as well, where he set up Croatia’s first goal against Germany and the only goal of the match in Croatia’s 1-0 win over Poland.

It seems that this player would kill De Ceglie's carrier and chances to play, because their playing profile are a perfect match, therefore i see no need to bring another left forward, we have Neddy and Giovinco as primary wingers and De Ceglie and Salih as secondary.
I would most welcome a new decent LB though, but i would prefer someone who would defend better, because we really lack there and the rest of our defense still lacks solidarity...

Pranjic is a left mid as i know, why there is a discussion about killing De Ceglies chaces???
Pranjic wont come, but if so he would play in the left wing
I doubt it.

Yes,he is a LM/LW naturally...but lately he was converted into LB.
So i think if Juve wants him that's for LB position.
On the left attacking flank there is Nedved, probably Gio and maybe Stankovic.
