No doubt Pranjic was great in the Euro's, but it could just have been the momentum of the tournament that raised his game in an unknown position for him. He's been great in the Dutch league in his usual attacking role, but I have doubts about his defensive skill, especially his positioning. In these kind of tournaments players can rise above themselves. Again, Pranjic is a very good player, but I wouldn't take the risk.

How hard can it be to get Grosso? :xfinger:

Uh,again a football diamonds on this forums, all the great tacticians and all are the generals, but after the battle. Why a winger couldn't be a fullback? And even a better one than 99% of regular FB's?

Just one word: Zambrotta...
But we bought him as a winger and used him as a winger.

We need someone to start playing LB straight away as we do no have time for someone to adapt.

And my priorities are different from most because I place a higher value on defending than most folk. Therefore, I am more comfortable with CBs moving to full back than wingers moving to fullback.

There are of course exceptions to every rule.

Then you MUST be satisfied with Molinaro.......

You would be more comfortable with a CB on left back? But we all agreed Molinaro actually did good at defensive part of job. Now,if we take into consideration that Molinaro,as bad as he is at offense is still a better flanker that regular CB.....either you would lead Juve into disaster or you would pullut the best with molinaro on LB.....

In fact, you would decline one of best LB's on turnament in favour of unbalanced/Molinaro option?

If I have to choose between a CB and a winger playing fullback, I would choose a CB.

Who agreed Molinaro is good defensively? I certainly didn't. He may be Ok when a forward runs at him, but his positioning and marking are abysmal.

I never said I prefer Molinaro to Pranjic. I expect us to sign a new LB, and so I said no to Pranjic on the basis that I feel we can sign a better LB, not because I think Molinaro is better.

Jankulovski could be an option, with Zambro in Milan.
yea, if he can stay fit. we already have one injury proned defender (andrade), let's not take those risks in another position.

i'm not so sure abt pranjic cuz i don't kno how he defends. another thing is would he want to play as a LB or a LW? he played for croatia at LB, but altintop played for turkey at RB so it could just be a 'do it for my country' thing.

played very well in the euros but i would still prefer Yuri Zhirkov.. can't understand why we are not linked with this guy.. he is a great player both defensively and especially offensively !!
