Did well against a very good player in Belotti.

Got caught out a couple of times by coming out of defense to close the attacker that dropped deep but apart from that he defended well. His yellow was a joke, it was superb defending.

Development of the likes of Pogba, Dybala, Sandro, Rugani, Bonucci is a great example of how a club should be run. We need to continue this trend so that we don't end up like Inter after 2010. I want to see more italian youth in our ranks Berardi, Mandrogora, Romagna, Kean, Caldara? and investment and development of foreign talents like Pjaca, Lirola, Lemina, etc... Sustainability is key.

It's exactly what we've done since Marotta and Paratici came in and I doubt it's going to change anytime soon.

He has pretty much been highly consistent and dependable for such a young defender. Would be interesting though how we would come up against the world's best players (Ronaldo, Messi etc).

Nothing but good signs from little Daniele. Great awareness, great tackling, good decision making and, even while playing next to Giorgio Chiellini, was taking ownership of the area and marshalling those who were tracking back.

I get more excited every time I see him. All of his and our patience is starting to pay off big time. Extra bonus is that he's ready to take Barzagli's place right now so we don't need to be as worried if Andrea's injury takes longer to heal than we thought.

Obviously I'm not saying he's on Barzagli's level, what I mean is that if we have 4 spots for first-team CBs then Rugani is deserving of one of them.

Juventus defender Daniele Rugani has revealed his pride in a new five-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2021.

The 22-year-old also spoke about the ways he has improved as a player, and gave credit to former club Empoli for assisting with his development.

"I am proud to have renewed his contract for five years until 2021," the centreback told the Juventus official website.

"This route that I’ve taken gives me great satisfaction. I want to say lots of things about it, it means that the club believes in me, that I'm doing well and I’m happy and proud of this.

"I’m happy because I was born a Juve fan and to extend for five years gives me the greatest satisfaction of all.

"The pressure is always there, including this year because I'm playing more. Now, I’ve found more space but the pressure was also there last year when I had to prove myself.

"What has changed is the maturity and mental awareness that I have gained. This is normal in the development of a player who comes from an exceptional club like Empoli.

"The difference from last year is that I’m able to handle this better and I think I've made progress in this way."

Is the defender pleased with his three goals in the current campaign?

"As a team, we hope to continue, we aren’t the finished product and there are others that are more important than me.

"For a defender it's beautiful to score goals, perhaps even more than an attacker because it doesn’t happen often and it is always wonderful.

"I hope it won’t be my last and that the goals continue to come."

Coach Massimiliano Allegri believes that Rugani will be the future of Juve. What does Rugani think to this?

"What Allegri said to me was beautiful, it gives me enormous pleasure, in the same way that the club has demonstrated confidence in me with this super renewal.

"These are the things that give me so much pleasure.

"My aim is to do what the Coach says: to be an important Juventus defender for the next 10 years.

"The goal is this and I’ll do what it takes to improve in order to reach this point."
