Bonucci can fucking pass well though, that's what the whole point was in getting him back was his distribution out of the back.

Rugani though...man, is Arsenal still interested?

Been saying it for years when everyone had a hard on for Rugani. He's so fucking timid and a walking time bomb in defence. I don't want to hear about age either because if at this stage he can't hold his shit together against Parma who had about 8 successful attacks in 90 minutes he's never going to hit a level good enough for us.

Passive defender.

Looks like he is literally simply trying to statute himself between the ball and goal without actually defending.

It's like he thinks whoever is next to him has to do the dirty work every single time. He's just a bit shit really. Never been a fan. Our back line is too old and the ones earmarked to replace them are crap (Rugani) or sold off (Caldara)

anyone else think the 1st goal was on Caceres? he dropped down to the left too much with Mandzukic and Spinazzola already there, so Rugani had to pick up the CF, leaving space on the other side. ofcourse you can also say Cancelo, but he wouldnt have been back in time anyway

Both Rugani and Caceres were horribly exposed throughout the second half and had absolutely no protection.

They'll get the blame but on the first goal they are both scrambling to the left because we were opened up for too easily and nobody tracked back. Khedira was run away from, but Rugani/Caceres should have been set in the middle to head away. Instead both were pulled to the left.

Second goal, same scenario. This time Caceres is badly positioned and should have been defending the area around the front post. He isn't there because he is scrambling left, Rugani and Cancelo have to try to cover the middle when running back.

Third goal, there are countless errors there.

There were plenty of other situations where they were exposed. Parma just stuck Inglese up high and had Gervinho drop 10 yards back. We should have had a CM sit on that area.

Yeah 1st goal was on Ceceres but Rugani was always too far away from anyone taking a shot inside our box. Lacks agressiveness and his positioning was completely off. Its not just this game.

agree. Caldara always looked better to me, we made the wrong choice in sticking with Daniele imo

no idea what he was doing on the 2nd goal either

We sold Caldara and Benatia in the same 6 months
Caldara :sigh:

a complete modern CB in the making, we let go of far too easily.
