Just please don’t be another disappointment, welcome!

The good part is that i have zero expectations in terms of what he can do for us because i’ve never followed him and don’t know much about what he is capable of, maybe for once we’ll be in for a pleasant surprise, although i do have my doubts about it and when looking at our overall situation everyone can easily tell the fact that no matter who comes in it’s just not going to be an easy job at all.

You're right.

It was an absolutely terrible one.
other signings like ramsey, arthur (déjá vu, i might have mentioned those in the post you quoted and edited) and the "strategy" to make our finances sustainable with swap deals were terrible. firing allegri and thinking sarri was a good replacement was terrible. thinking that emre can and bentancur are good enough midfield reinforcements, now, that was terrible

the club also tolerated a reformed tv distribution system that left every club with a higher revenue, save for jj who saw their tv revenue dropped despite a better overall deal thanks to ronaldo - that was also terrible. yes, every single club got a higher cut from the tv money cake, except juventus, the club that made a better tv deal possible. that was terrible

having shady secret agreements with players post-covid and clubs like atalanta were also terrible

the whole post-marotta management was terrible

ronaldo was fucking expensive but he did his job and brought extra revenue to the league and to the club. but our terrible management couldn't capitalize on the ronaldo effect. our management was terrible, not the ronaldo transfer itself

LOL but my soccer inexperience shows with this guy now in charge over Tognozzi. Comolli a good pick or bad choice?

OMG a fuking French dude. Seriously! What's next, an American manager, might as well having an American pope.

@Patrizi at least you will probably be back posting again. :baus:

I can tell you now his record at big clubs especially Liverpool is not good at all and is/was part of the red bird group... ask yourself why Milan didn't want to hire this tool when they could have.

Even Toulouse fans are protesting against this Redbird management

Anyone connected to RedBird is a huge red flag it seems. Besides the last French guy we hired in a management position turned out to be absolutely terrible.

If Agnelli somehow returns, we probably might have a new management again.

Again, I hope I have jinxed this like you often do but I won't hold my breath on this guy turning out to be great for us.

I wish we at least paired him with a competent DS like Atalanta's or Bologna's sporting director for example.

This guy's career seems a little messy, but the positive thing is he's French let's hope that means more focus on French players and Ligue 1.
Getting Tudor confirmed as well means we'll have French, Balkan, Uruguayan (Montero) and inevitable Italian influence on the team.

This is the fucking way. We're coming back, lads!

Argentinian master race>>>>>

We had some great Argentinians over the years and we could've had a couple more great ones. (Soule and Romero)

Retegui is actually Argentinian btw :klin: :scared:

Looking up some of Comolli's resume. At Spurs, St E, nothing worth noting. Liverpool 2011-12 finishing 8th in standings tied for worst result up till 2024-25. Did he go oof the grid till 2018? Under Comolli's control Fenerbache only went down in standings few years he was there. And Toulouse. Yes Comolli lead squad from divsion 2 to top league. Though really haven't made much of an impact in team getting inside top 10 of league.

Finally with our new leader. Toulouse did well (if you can call it that) under Comolli with little money spent. How little spent? Lowest 2024-25 Ligue 1 gross payroll at 15.7M lol. The Juve money counters got their man it appears. More players the caliber of Kelly etc etc will only cost obtaining 1.75M instead of previously 17.5M. The guy will turn water into wine. Sorry but the little I have read about the guy doesn't get me enthused about the upcoming season.

Honestly i hope the shareholders push for Agnelli to return if elkann's latest plan fails. This constant chopping and changing cannot continue for much longer.

Try not to fuck up sponsorship deals and losing your partner to the club's president.

I don't think we can even rate management in this way. I mean he probably has minimal impact on results. I'm not even sure what he is responsible of. I just hope the cases like this won't happen again:
- buying a player in January just to desperately try to offload him few months later,
- short sighted contract deal (Vlahovic),
- really bad treatment of club veterans,
- loosing a note with ur transfer targets in a restaurant,
- broken fax,
- no support for the team when it's not treated fairly,
- selling ur academy gems for instant money and looking like a clown year later,
- never signing ur plan A,
- buying Atalanta players for 60m,
- buying Fiorentina players,
If he can keep us out from this, htne he will do good.
