Iranian legend Ali Daei has become the first player in history to score 100 international goals.

The former Bayern Munich striker has now grabbed 102 goals in 133 Iranian appearances.

The 35-year old past the previous record holder Ferenc Puskas - who had 84 goals to his name - over a year ago and he has now passed another landmark.

Brazil's Pele is third on the all-time list with 77 goals from his international career.

I hope not :p.. he's too old now and rarely run at all during the games. Hashemian would be a better starter.

he's brilliant.such a nice and quiet guy who displays a lot of charisma and sportsmanship on the pitch.

i watched an interview of ali daei after he was honoured for reaching the landmark,he seemed so reserved and modest:cool:

As famous as Sami was, he was never at the level of players like Majed Abdullah.
I see, but anyhow KSA got lot of great players like D3aya3, Sa3id la3weran, mohale(correct me if i spell it wrong)...too bad they put the wrong image in WC02 specially against germany, i didn't expect that with such a players in KSA team.

    Cheers to Ali Daei...

I didnt really follow Asian football, but its rather unfair given that Asian powerhouse can trash the minows easily.... but still a impressive achivement!!!
