So the Brazilian teams are doing well because their season started 10 rounds ago versus tired European teams after a long season, new coaches get to know the reams and newly joined players?

People will say it's excuses but reality is half of these players just want to be on the beach now after 45-60 game seasons. Fuck FIFA and their money grabbing. And this will have a knock on effect to players going into next season, you will see.
It's nice that other teams and their fans get to enjoy doing well against leading Euro teams but I don't think it can be used as any benchmark. Obviously Euro teams have a financial advantage and the better players, depth etc. But tournament football does level some things out.

Yeah you don't have to cynical even to realize this entire tournament is shameless money grubbing scheme by FIFA.
They could care less about how overworked top level players are getting in the big leagues. Nations league and club world cup back to back days after season finished.
Only saving grace about CWC is it's not annual, but every 4 years.
