my bet is on abou ali from palestine, playing for al ahly, and rouhi :numnum:

With everything’s that’s been going on I lost interest in going and might just take the loss since tickets are non refundable. What a sad fucking place this country has become.

And this is just the club World Cup. Just wait until the real one begins. They will never want to award us the tournament ever again. All thanks to a few Nazis who get off on tormenting people.

I've had a punt at doing the bracket for this tournament.

https://play.fifa.com/bracket-predictor/

It looks like the winner of Real Madrid's group plays the runner up of our group.

I think Real will take this CWC very seriously given they didn't win any silverware. I also expect a strong showing from Manchester City.

There's so much money at stake, I can't see teams not taking it seriously. Yeah it's a fucking disgusting cash grab but it is what it is.

How much does the tournament champion receive? Can it have any financial impact at all?
I would say that apart from the financial aspect and its impact on the team, the players are tested during the games and the team as a whole are evaluated.
If we don't take this tournament serious and like pre-season games, I would like to see the system and the way the players are arranged, I think Tudor has the opportunity to put the players in different systems/formations and see the strengths and weaknesses of the team how they fit into his tactics.

iirc prize money for participation ranges from $ ~10m to ~40m depending on confederation and club ranking, you get 2m for a group stage win, 1 for a draw, around 7 for the group stage progress, and the winners' prize is capped at $125m

it's good money if you do well, not just a few summer friendlies

If we can beat Man City and get a solid 7 or 9 points out of the group, we can go far.
The thing is, if we end as 2nd in the group we're facing BM and Kane vs Gatti or Kelly isn't something im mentally prepared to see

Not Bayern. We are playing Winner of Real Madrid's group which likely would be Real so yeah, our journey ends in the Round of 16.

Wouldn't put it past this team to get knocked out of the group stage either tbh
