In fact, Ronaldo mentioned many times at the beginning of this season that CL isn't an obsession. I also rememb him saying "If we fail this year, we'll try next year". He kept repeating that in his interviews multiple times.

We haven't won that shit since 1996 and it makes our fans very impatient and obsessed. I kinda understand where those ideas come from.
