The deal is what gives the accusation credibility and makes it serious . You don't donate 370k just like that, obviously there was something fishy going on that Ronaldo wanted to hush.
No it doesn't.

Ronaldo is crazy rich. 300k is nothing to get rid of potentially career and sponsorship ending sexual assault allegations. Anyone in his position would do the same, guilty or innocent, to keep the accusations out of the news.

she can only hurt him publicly if she has something to base her claims on, them paying her off indicates that she had.

either she is very very good at gold digging to take on Ronaldo and all his money or he did something wrong to her
She has nothing to base her claims on now it is still hurting him.

She has nothing to base her claims on?
I heard she reported it to the police immediately after the incident but just didn’t disclose the name of the perpetrator out of fear.
Then she had medical examinations and even used a rape test kit.
Then comes the questionnaire Ronaldo took admitting she said no to him with the icing on the cake being the settlement paid. The sequence of things that happened is enough to condemn Ronaldo somewhat and is exactly why this story has gained so much traction.

She doesn’t need anything to base her claims on so long as Ronaldo insists on keeping things quiet. Even if he pays her off again, the act of paying her off makes him look guilty.

It’s a win-win for her. Unless Ronaldo goes full Kobe and brings her to court.

So basically anyone that has a one night stand with Ronaldo can apply for a payoff and he'll part with a couple hundred thousand euros because it's nothing for him? I wonder why not more people are doing this, apparently Ronaldo is very charitable when it comes to gold diggers

Because not many people had sex with Ronaldo, especially not one night stands. If he's had sex with a woman it becomes a he said she said kind of thing, but at least one fact makes her version believable and that's that they did have sex.

Without sex any rape claim isn't going to go far obviously.

So no, the NDA means nothing in the grand scheme of things. It is absolutely not an admission of guilt.

Well if he needs to save his reputation, he has no other go.

The damage has already been done. I'd find it hard to see whether he'd bring as much money to the club now as first estimated as the reason for his signing was largely due to commercial reasons. 33 years old, rape allegations... Brand CR is going to take a nosedive and we got to bear the brunt of it too unfortunately.

20% drop in shares apparently. Wish we never bought him tbh..

370k is nothing compared to the damage she would cause by going public. This is no indication of guilt but it does hurt her credibility that she is going back on the settlement.
It is not about the 370k
As a football player who earns millions ,are you willing to put your life in the hands of 12 unknown people(jurors) ,or pay the 370k ,regardless if she is telling the truth or not. Also remember Ronaldo is Portuguese and mayorga an us citizen. The trial would have been on her ground also.

Sorry the reply was for pitbull quote about the settlement damaging his image

Just saw the stock, complete overreaction. It hit a high on sept 19 but it was about the same as it is now on sept 4. Don’t know why it got that high but it’s not because of ronaldo

Yeah, the settlement means nothing. Anyone with an ounce of legal knowledge knows as much.

My guess is that the money he gave her ran out, she is sour she didn't ask for more in 2009, or found a lawyer looking for a payday.
Breaking the agreement is pretty damaging thing in itself.
