Agree that this Modric overrating (hard to overrate him, you've to be really creative to do so) and Ronaldo and Messi normalizing have been a joke. Hazard was just as good in the WC.

Yeah both are complete losers for this. A decade of going when they win every time, and everyone attends it anyways. But when they finally don't get the award, they can't even stomach being there to see one of their colleagues getting it.

Last time I checked, Messi was not even qualified for the award which is kind of silly knowing he was statistically the best player in the last season and won more trophies than Salah.
But these awards are popularity contents anyway.
