Sack Sarri and let Ronaldo, Buffon, Chiellini be player-coaches to finish the season. Win CL. :donedeal:
read a rumor somewhere about an emergency scenario: sarri would be sacked, capello would return. so far that sounds like a downgrade. but in that case, pirlo and barza would be capello's assistants, which would sweeten the blow certainly. :shifty:

pirlo as our coach :tuttosport: somehow i would not question the guy.

If Pjanic stays on the bench, I think we have a good chance of overturning the result. This is 7th team of Ligue 1 ffs
Maybe... I mean, Ramsey has had like 1-2 decent matches all year, against relegation candidates... hardly inspiring of confidence right now, even if I like the guy (so good for Wales).

Progressing depends on Ronaldo and Dybala carrying us imo, in spite of shit tactics and motivation from our manager, and a general malaise in most of the squad.

It's the coach's job to motivate the players.
But I guess if you have a pussy in charge who keeps making excuses and never holds himself accountable, the players have to step themselves up to the plate.
It's the coach's job to lay out the best tactics for the team to win and maybe give them that little extra motivation. That said the players need to be self motivated, if they can't be motivated to win the CL or Scudetto then they need to get off this team along with the coach.

In an ideal world all the players would be self motivated and disciplined like Ronaldo, but the reality is that a big part of a manager's job is to manage the various personalities in a squad. If it was all about tactics, coaches like Ferguson, Pep, Klopp and Conte wouldn't have been as successful and sought after as they were/are. Whereas "tactically astute" coaches are a dime a dozen in Italy.

I love Pirlo, but i was hoping we already grew out of the phase where we have to gamble on a coaching nobody to turn out great.
okay, who's our next coach then, in case sarri is fired mid-season? i love max, but he's not coming back. other alternatives include spalletti, lippi and basically everyone who doesn't have a job at the moment. our of that bunch, pirlo as a prospect stands out for me. :boh: and i repeat, this is only in case maurice is fired with a couple of months still to go.

as a long-term solution, we shouldn't take a gamble. but as a stop gap coach, we won't be able to hire someone with a pedigree.
