Lmao that statement cracks me up the more that I read it. Now I’m thinking it might be a way for Juve to CYA in case he gets found guilty
That's 100% what this tweet is. People who think it is supportive of Ronaldo are deluded, it is anything but.

Someone responsible for those words on Twitter has to be sacked right away.

Sentences can be understood in many different and negative ways. Even though I believe many people do understand what they were trying to say, dramas should have been avoided.

Sponsors 'concerned' by Ronaldo case

By Football Italia staff

Nike and EA Sports are “closely monitoring” the rape allegations against Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo, they confirmed in statements.
Police in Las Vegas have re-opened the 2009 investigation after Kathryn Mayorga came forward with new information.
Her lawyers held a press conference last night, warning they could release key pieces of evidence to the public.
She reached an out-of-court settlement with Ronaldo in 2010, receiving $375,000 to never go public with the allegations.
“We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation,” said Nike in a statement.
EA Sports also have a sponsorship deal with Ronaldo and gave a similar statement to the Associated Press.
“We have seen the concerning report that details allegations against Cristiano Ronaldo. We are closely monitoring the situation, as we expect cover athletes and ambassadors to conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with EA's values.”
Juventus released their own statement of sorts, as it was only in the form of two tweets, never appearing on their club website.
“Cristiano Ronaldo has shown in recent months his great professionalism and dedication, which is appreciated by everyone at Juventus.
“The events allegedly dating back to almost 10 years ago do not change this opinion, which is shared by anyone who has come into contact with this great champion.”
The tone of the Juventus comment has received a great deal of criticism – including from this site – and is markedly different from the one taken by Nike and EA Sports.

We are closely monitoring the situation means we really hope that this all blows over somehow so we don't have to end our profitable relationship with the biggest athlete in the world but rest assured, the moment our affiliation with him seems to be more damaging than helpful we will immediately take a principled stand and cut ties w/ him because of long held values about integrity or women or something.

"We're looking for punitive damages. And punitive damages are intended to damage a person financially; to discourage this kind of behavior from occurring in the community in the future. Ok? It's to set an example. Ok? And that's what we're looking for in this case."
Yeah, Ronaldo has more money and can afford better lawyers than her. We for sure dont know if she’s lying or trying to take money off him. I’m on her side for now. And if Ronaldo is guilty they should set and example too.

"I'm on her side for now"

Too many soyboy cucks in this thread.

How about we wait until we actually see any concrete evidence and see where this goes legally? Der Spiegel could be spouting garbage and I certainly won't trust their word. Let's see those emails/questionaire first.

This is exactly the problem. You shouldn’t be on anyone’s ‘side’. Also, learn about burden of proof and how it works.

What?

On her side for now? You mean until Ronaldo proves his innocence to you?

I've never seen such total and casual disregard for the presumption of innocence.

I've tried thinking of ways to put it less bluntly, but honestly the nicest thing I can come up with is that you're an idiot.
