Ronaldo given suspended sentence?

Juventus new boy Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been given a two-year prison sentence for tax fraud but will not serve any time.

According to EFE, Agencia Tributaria - the tax agency in Spain - approved the sentence, which also carries a €19m fine.

However, the Portuguese is not expected to spend any time behind bars after pleading guilty to four tax crimes, committed during his spell with Real Madrid.

The four crimes would have been committed between 2011 and 2014, with the No 7 allegedly defrauding the Spanish state out of €1.39m, €1.66m, €3.2m and €8.5m in each of those years.

The Spanish news agency notes a discrepancy remains over his criminal conviction being replaced with a fine, the Agencia Tributaria demanding Ronaldo should face imprisonment if he reoffends in the two years.

The 33-year-old has since left Madrid, joining Juve for an Italian-record €112m earlier in the month.

Goalkeepers live to 40 on dedication alone opposed to players cause of the different physical demands.

Ronaldo can easily remain the best in the world untill late 30ties if he keeps this kind of dedication it


Those stats basically show his age is still just a number and nothing else at this point

Hazard was by fat the most consistent player at the WC IMO. Had Belgium reached the final, I would have given him the Golden Ball.
