Just because his agent is reportedly there to meet doesn’t mean management have to clear their schedules. It’s the final days of the market and his departure would put the club in an unfavorable position to start the season w/o a proper replacement(s).

Cherubini and Arrivabene should flex a power move and say they are unavailable to meet. CR7 will play good soldier and see out his contract this season.

If he doesn’t like it then he will risk his own image which he is not willing to do.

On the other hand they want to remove his wages too

Management is smart enough to know that he can leave for free next summer. At least then they can plan ahead on replacements
I wonder if Mendes is looking for an extension of the contract on the same sky high wages. The wages City are reportedly offering is pittance in comparison (especially if they want him for free) to what he's earning here at the moment. With his signing on bonuses, Can probably earned more :D

I don't get why people shit on new rich people.
If you're hard working, humble and not ostentatious and overly opinionated (especially when your opinions clearly indicate an inferiority complex and lack of class, lack of education and downright ignorance), then it's fine.

I don't think people hate on the nouveau riche who keep a low profile and aren't attention seeking whores. If you stay classy and don't need to show off your wealth at every given opportunity, I don't see a problem with it.

I read Icardi, Laporte, Jovic, Kean, Witsel, Sterling.. ffs what a bunch of underwhelming names to replace Ronaldo. I only have a soft spot for Kean but he is nowhere near Ronaldo’s level.

Bernardo Silva excites me the most but there are barely any rumors. How did we get to his name?
