I'm pretty sure the club would jump at the chance to sell him, if it could avoid a capital loss and not pay anymore of his insane salary
He will go away IMO. He's been frustrated with the club for a while now. I think it comes from the fact we're rejuvenating now, instead of buying top players to support him and push for the CL.

Before Juve released their financial statement I was sure they'd sell Dybala. Now I bet everything on CR7 - as good as he is on and off the pitch, keeping him is simply unsustainable. It was a huge effort pre-covid, now it's a suicide.

The most likely option for him is PSG IMO, then United.

I think he would like to go away, I don't think anyone is going to pay for him.

United are never giving him the salary he wants and PSG is the only realistic option, but I am not sure 1) CR would go there with Neymar already playing his position and stealing the spotlight and 2) the weakness and lack of marketing in the league

But it would be utopian if Kylian refuses to extend and we can swap CR, Dybala, Sandro, Woj and Arthur for him lmao. Ticks all of boxes and needs for PSG :D

The scenario will be different :D

I also think that no one will pay cash for CR7. That's why Leonardo will offer us Icardi in a swap deal and we'll take it. I guess Allegri could squeeze quite a lot from Dybala - Icardi partnership.

For PSG there are two issues right now: they'd like to get Messi but that most probably won't happen as he seems to stick with Barca. So it's very natural that they'd turn to Ronaldo in this case. The other one is Mbappe who has only Real in his head. If he forces the move, watch everything speed up.

Extend. This will be the last year of his contract, he's about to earn 31M net, but then what after that? I'm sure he thinks about his next contract already, and it's better to sign it now as Serie A top scorer and still in great health than risk later. If he takes a paycut, he can get more money but over a extended period of time, it will turn out better for both sides. Right now his amortization is 25M a year (100M/4), if he signs a extension it becomes less yearly.

Sarcasm, right?

He probably wants to leave and we definitely want to get rid of him. The problem is that there probably isn't a club dumb enough to give him anything close to what he is making here.

We are probably stuck with him for another year which means another 60m down the drain on a past-his-best poacher, which in turn means we will be forced to sell some valuable player.

Nothing new for this club.
