Fits him perfectly actually and it will benefit his numbers too, both goal and assist. still has enough burst of speed to beat most defenders without the ball and decent of a timing/touch enough to receive the ball behind them..he will get much more chance of headers and tap ins..it's a no brainer..

Even if nothing changes going forward for him, one thing that will change for sure is that our left flank won't be exposed and be a weakness each and every match no matter against Bayern or benevento. Its fine depending on opponent. When we attack all game and oppoenent stays deep, we can sacrifice defensive stability and put someone who likes to wrestle and play with his back to the goal next to Ronaldo, allowing him to be SS or LW. But when we play City, Paris or Bayern and sit back most of the game, then we need wings to defend and we dont need a partner for him so much, because he will have the space he wants anyway. So sign him a CF partner that fits, but make adjustments for each game depending on opponent
There is probably some PR involved. Wingers and attacking midfielders are usually considered better footballers than strikers. Ronaldo positions himself on the wing so that his fanboys can still live the illusion that he’s the flying winger with dribbling skills that he was at Manchester United. In reality he plays like a poacher nowadays.
