I don't know. There is an awful lot being reported on it for there to be nothing and no party involved denying any of it. Weird situation, it just seems so unreal though.
To be frank, I'm not even sure what to make of it if he were to join Juventus. He's possibly the best player on the planet right now. But he is 33 and he will decline soon. And the best part of his career will have been at Madrid. Seems like we're dessert or something. Not sure if I'm happy with that.

We'll either be 'starters/a bite of mains' like with zidane or desserts with Ronaldo. Reality of our position. I think he has another 3 years in him atleast. If we win CL it'll pay off. Our obsession is real.

Ronaldo needs to have more and more fallow weeks in order to remain the most productive when you need him most. That means we probably should expect a lot of lackadaisical weeks in the early and mid-season where he delivers little and everybody wonders WTF is wrong with him, is he over the hill. Well, he is kind of ... until he saves his physical strength to deliver in the crunch time at the end of a season.

Send to reserves in autumn?

Play Mandzu/Morata in groups and then unleash Ronaldo in knockouts.

Can he survive Turin winters though?

Starting to believe this story....

But 100m plus 30m a year for a 33 year old is massive. Is this the best way to spend our money, especially under FFP?

We are obviously estimating an increase in revenue such a huge move will bring. It's still a risky investment for 4 years, even though I very much doubt he will remain that long if he actually joins in the first place.

He'll deliver in CL all year long, as he always does, but no doubt he'll have numerous stinkers in the league, especially in the first half of the year.

As long as Higuain is the only attacker to leave, we should be just fine and dandy. Dybala is more prolific around the goal than any other Madrid attacker, and we'd have Mandzu, Costa, Bernadeschi, Cuadrado to chip in as well.

However, even if there's lots of smoke right now, I don't believe there's any fire to this at all. Exor/ownership has shown no inclination to pump money of this kind into the club before and I don't really see it happening now.

Perhaps though this was the endgame all along, use Beppe penny-pinching for 7 years to solidify our spot as a European contender again, then go full retard and break the bank for glory.

That seven year itch :beppe:

He lived in Manchester for 6 years. I think he’ll be fine.
Turin is a shit city that rich people don't like though. Cristiano wouldn't come here for a holiday let alone move here. :seven:

Turin is beautiful. I went there with my wife for our honeymoon in Italy and it was by far her favorite city. It is very green, with people walking their dogs, and has a community feel. Given 3 kids under 1 years old, perhaps the fact that it is a bit more quiet is attractive.

Ronaldo is probably the most maniacal player on his physique and as a CF he has some years left. Look at how long zlatan remained high worldclass.

Ronaldo is beyond worldclass. He'll have 2 absolute ballin years and then still be the best CF in the game imo

But no way this will happen

IF it does, we have the ballon d'or btw. Stealing it back when we lost cannavaro to madrid.
