buying Higuaín for €39m and selling for €90m was good financially for Napoli at the time but it hasn’t translated to his tenure at Juve
He was a big reason we continued our dynasty... Letting him go for Cristiano (instead of reviving midfield) is where we messed up.

I'd get a certainty like Higuain every day... We paid many millions for totally different trash lately...

Overweight Higuain was miles ahead of Dusan. He moved far more gracefully, had better 1st touch and ball control along with his shooting with both legs. There is not a single aspect in their game where I'd say Dusan is better.

Junktoli:

"Future for Juventus? It’s important to take the final step. We’ve rejuvenated and changed a lot; at Juve, there’s a lot of pressure. We want to reach the Champions League, and next year, with 2-3 targeted signings and the return of many injured players, we’ll have a very competitive team."

This sounds like summer 2024. Or 23. Or 22. Or 21.

I'll ignore the other fucked up years but it isn't anything like 2024 when our wage bill was still out of control like a mad man...

I'd also add 2-3 signings is too little ofc when we know Veiga, Vlahovic and Conceicao will already be removed from the team... Not to even mention the Milik situation...

I don’t give a fuck about the wage bill. I care about winning. And we are no closer to winning than we were in all the years I mentioned.

Also Guintoli at least prioritized the rebuilding of the midfield which was the right move imo and he acquired Thuram, Luiz and Koop. In the summer that looked like quite the accomplishment considering the seasons that luiz and koop were coming off of. kind of crazy how poor the two of them turned out to be and im not sure that means Toli was wrong to sign them.
If you'll ignore his bet on the coach and players all of whom didnt work out then extend the same to Tici. Tici took a bet on the Super League, Ronaldo and De Ligt and it back fired. Also don't forget Covid's impact on our revenues

Closer to winning partly means having a sustainable wage bill. So yes we are, by all means. There's simply no denying that; look at shinter.

We're mostly out of the financial disastrous position IF we qualify. If we don't, back to square 1.

He met him on a rainy Tuesday, when his umbrella flipped inside out and offered to share.
They talked about books and coffee as they walked, discovering a shared love for old poetry and strong espresso.
They started meeting every Tuesday, rain or shine, always under the same umbrella.
Seasons changed, and so did they, growing together like ivy on an old brick wall.
They liked the growing, oh, how much they loved the growing.
They danced in the kitchen, burned pancakes, and whispered dreams into the quiet of midnight.
Years later, they still walked hand in hand, the umbrella now faded but full of memories.
And every rainy Tuesday, Robee and Giuntoli would smile, remembering the day love found them in a Summer Mercato storm of transfers.

higuain for 94 million was one of the biggest clusterfucks in sports history. he never got close to his napoli form and completely fell off afterwards.
Juventus pulled the ultimate power move since Moggi with that signing. They cashed out on Pogba and cut a cheque for the best striker in Serie A at the time. Pure power play by Marotta to !) re-assert dominance 2) Big fvck you reminder to ADL and Italy reminding everyone that Juventus is still el jefe

@Firestarter and I were discussing the transfer the day it was finalized while strolling on Park ave and we were both unable to criticize such a power move while Jj fans were still obsessed with Destro and Immobile. This was also weeks after I ran Paul off my court and he ran to yanited to play next to Fred for the next 3 szns only to return bc of L'Incompetente's delusion.

Pipita was the striker fans desired but complained for no reason bc the Italian media gassed everyone up for clicks.
