Getting a new sporting director should be a priority.
For too long this season we've relied on Gonzalez, Locatelli, Gatti, Kelly, Weah, McKennie and Veiga as starters. Look at those names, no wonder we are struggling for a top 4 spot.
Then there is the amount of money he has thrown about where pretty much every signing has failed, no more so than our big money signings in the midfield that we desperately needed to fix.
There is also the fact that we went weeks without a striker because he signed a no backup for Vlahovic.
Also his failure to sign defensive reinforcements until late in the winter transfer window. Then he got Costa, Veiga and Kelly.
Plus we've lost Huijsen for a low fee and Soule. Both who would have contributed more and on lower wages than the players he bought instead.
All in all a mess after 3 transfer windows (Djalo and Alcaraz being the highlight last season). We are in a worse position now than when he started.
