As an English man.... have to agree. Not even the 20th man on the long list to be called up for NT...so why should we be shopping for him as an urgent impact player.

Only thing I can think of is a hedge on wasted potential for a strong physical left footed player. Key thing lacking though....zero form so why gamble at all?

France has countless defenders all over the world...should have looked at any of them.
We've got a French one who is injured, and the Uruguayan we were after was using us to squeeze Barcelona (morally acceptable motive)

The only way we should have been looking was to the balkans. There must have been a steely no nonsense hardman at Partizan or Zagreb that we could have picked up instead.

Lens recently signed the captain of FK Sarajevo Nidal Celik for 2,5 million euros. Great talent, CB, only 18 years old.

These types of signings were expected from Giuntoli, but he's been quite busy loaning in players from England for big amounts. For 2 fucking years now.

Hold on though this is perfect - a beautiful Balkan soldier sails off to bake in a French oven? If Giuntoli can next persuade Lens to sign a Uruguayan teammate to introduce him to mate and dulce de leche he will surely blossom into the ideal Juventus grinta signing...the chosen one.

Let Giuntoli cook (in RC Lens' kitchen).

Muani
Viega
Conceicao
Thuram
Di Gregorio

All have been good signings. Unfortunately Poop and Luiz also exist.
Though too bad that three of the five you mentioned as good signings are here only on a dry loan…

Otherwise jury is still out on Douglas Luiz and Nico Gonzalez too, both been improving lately, whereas Koop still needs many more games like the one last night to prove he wasn’t a complete waste of budget but can say he is taking steps in the right direction as well, atm it’s all a mixed bag overall.

For now that is. We'll see what happens in the summer. Giuntoli already said we'll talk to PSG.

Yes, i’m talking about the current state of affairs, otherwise we got plenty on our plate for the summer anyway even without this dry loans that need to be sorted, which won’t be easy at all, but one can hope at least.

There's also an extra transfer window. Conceicao shouldn't take too much time. Kolo Muani and Veiga can be negotiated in the coming months. 'though for now I wouldn't cry too much if Veiga returns. He's done well but I'm not entirely convinced yet either.

Sir I like the fantasy land you live in. Negotiate in the coming months huh? This is same guy that knew there was a crisis in defence and attack for 3 months and still signed loan options on last week of January.

Let's stop pretending you're saying anything serious, you mean? We didn't have any money and especially in January that's a recipe for disaster. Yet we managed. Only the Lord is pretty baffling but I guess the jury is still out on him.
