Yeah i’m sure having currently 7 players on loan here probably for the first time in history(some with option/obligation while others dry) is the only way and is much cheaper for us, even if most of the loan fee’s and dry loans are expensive ones that translate in zero possibilities of us recouping any of it, because as you said we obviously couldn’t afford to get Bellingham and Haaland or the likes, getting them on loan i mean, and also in the summer we’ll have to exercise buy option/obligation on some of those loans, or if not we’ll anyway need to replace them in the case of those we won’t keep which will be again costly, seems we are on the right track…
Then again we’ll probably be in an even bigger stronghold by UEFA after spending over €110M combined on two flops(Koop & Douglas Luiz) and making them part of our top 5 earners, also paying combined fee’s of about another €35M for gambles on the likes of Cabal, Adzic, Costa who’ve yet to make any impact here either.

Anyway, we clearly can’t afford to miss out on the top 4 spot, it’s potentially a make or break season in terms of how many years we’ll set ourselves back before being able to make again important investments on the market and build another competitive team, because the current one is already incomplete as it is despite buying and loaning many players, some of which we won’t be able to keep even so.
