Incoming: 9/10 (would have been 10 with a proper CB). Massively upgraded the team and signed one of the best up and coming managers in football.

Outgoing: 6/10. Got rid of quite a bit of the deadwood, but as per usual, struggled to sell for top prices. Chiesa for €15m is shocking, regardless of whether or not he has a year left on his contract. And it sucks that we still have to deal with Arthur, Kostic, Djalo, Rugani, Mckennie etc contracts this time next year as well.

Juventus , a professional club and most decorated Italian club that is representing Italian football in local and European competitions is going into the season with brick boy as starting cb

That’s all you need to know that the season is lost before it started

Harsh on 6/10 for outgoings. We had a lot of shit to get rid of and quite frankly I am surprised he found deals with clubs for some of these players. As for chiesa...we all thought a big club would be coming at us with decent coin for him but it just didn't happen.

This transfer window took a titanic effort.
with last years restrictions, we had all the time in the world to prepare it and we also saved some money since we couldn't buy much.
Also a lot of our acquisitions are loans with the obligation to buy, which will severally restrict our future transfer windows and abilities to adapt.
So the transfers we made ought to be extra prudent with considerations for the far future. A future with many games in every competition, esp with the new CL format, so we need extra depth.
Considering all this it will take a lot of time in order to make safe conclusions. most of the players are unproven youngsters. most have talent, some have injury records. Their salary gains are obscure, but appear better than the past. inclusion of clauses are unknown. We used to promote an overspender profile, in order to become an attractive target. many players have managers of little history with us, so it's unknown if we got them to please their managers, or for actual sporting needs.
It appears we have new needs and more offensive orientated tools.
(we are stacking wingers rather than DMs)
Esp the long awaited acquisition of a starter CAM marks the beginning of a new era.
Selling off Chiesa for 10mil and failing to offload McKennie are obviously our darkest obvious spots.
But this only affects finances and it's over once the season starts.
Imo the low quality of options for the CB position holds the biggest sporting performance threat atm. Danilo and Gatti will have no competition and depth
and the italjuve project with Gatti, Rugani, Locatelli, savona, cambiaso and Fagioli, given starter roles mostly because of their nationality , rather than actual quality, remains a lurking danger.
Hopefully they are there just to appease the nationalistic pride of some our fans.
At any case, let's just sit back and enjoy a new promising and interesting start of the season!

so luiz is first flop of the window

good luck getting rid of him now
This transfer really worries me. It just doesn’t seem right. Highly expensive, Villa didn’t want to keep him and used the money to fund a real baller like Onana who just keeps scoring goals, and Motta doesn’t even play the Lolzillian. Something seems very fishy about this whole deal. Reminds me of Arthur or Melo or even a combination of the two. And now we even have the play Villa and the beast Obama in the CL. Like, wtf?

I dock Jungtoki -2 just for this transfer alone.

I guess the remainder of payments just going to magically disappear.

Oh yeah no just sell mbangula and yilfiz for under value so you can fund your precious 4th goalie and Lolzillin.

some of you fans are just choosing to ignore the obvious because you can’t handle the truth.

Juventus is going into the season with a bricklayer as a starting cb.

If you were in a surgery procedure where a mistake can end your life, and I said your experienced surgeon was replaced by a bricklayer you would refuse the surgery. Even if the expenses were reduced

But here everyone acting it’s normal as long as expenses reduced
Setting Gatti aside, and I'm not a fan either, but by your own example you would refuse a surgery performed by a former bricklayer but you would be okay if professional football players Calafiori or Todibo operated on you feeling secure that they won't make a mistake that could end your life ?

Habibi Tosh how did you even come up with this scenario reading my example?

The idea here is you don’t want a bricklayer as your surgeon unless he had years of experience and education at a top medical school.

15 mill for Chiesa is indeed shocking - even the Chiesa we saw last year (assuming Jihadball wasnt a big factor impacting his performance) is worth more than 15 mill.

My prediction is that he is not totally Allegried he is young enough to learn proper football and will do well at Liverpool. This will go down as our worst sales of all time. Hopefully our season goes well and the big bet on Motta pays off
