so it only works one way? Could I not ask the same question with the criticism? This was his first real transfer window to put his mark on the club. His manager, his players. The results are TBD. So why are you criticizin?
Because of the overpaying, because the squad is thin, because he alienated a lot of players.

So why all of a sudden we are supposed to praise the work? Criticising was supposed to wait until the results start coming. Why can't the praise also wait?
I think the miracle has happened and we might (partially) agree. This is not done without Koop.

When the seagulls follow the trawler, it's because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea
As flies to wanton boys, we are to the gods. They kill us for the sport.
Soon the science will not only be able to slow down the aging of the cells; soon the science will fix the cells to the state. And so we become eternal.
Only accidents, crimes, wars will still kill us. But unfortunately crimes and wars will multiply.
I love football. Thank you

Two much needed valuable wingers completed during #panicbuys week, was expecting at least one of them to be a finished ElShaarawy kind of alternative, but we instead got ourselves a proven Seria A quality in Nico Gonzalez and an up and coming talent in Conceição, i’ll sure take it.

these are mostly starters, it's starting to look all right even if the timing is/was shockingly bad and the primary target is still nowhere near torino

and the signing of conceição and nico most probably mean that chiesa already has a buyer. otherwise we probably wouldn't be able to afford those two new wingers
It's a great list of signings. The timing as you say is less than ideal, most of our key new players missed pre season but they will be fine by October.

The biggest miss for me was Calafiori. How we missed an Italian juventino who was one of Motta's key players at Bologna I'll never understand and always regret.

We've tightened up the entire squad except CB, and are gonna play a season with Gatti and Cabal on the left side of our defence.

It's a 8.5 for me if we finish by signing Koopmeiners and one more winger. 9 if that winger is a reintegrated Chiesa. Never a 10 without Cauliflower

It was a smart decision not to pay 40-50 mil for a CB. He couldn't really do that.

Because Bologna would never give us Calafiori for under 50mil, and that's just ridiculous price...for example just look at this pricks...they rejected Illing in the Califlower deal and now they took him on loan from Villa...

Cauliflower was a given, Italian clubs leach hard, pissing around Todibo though is the regret and shouldn't have been so difficult to seal.

What I mean is how did we not convince him enough so that he would pressure them to sell to us and for a lower price.

Though I suppose Kupo is doing that now and atalanta aren't budging on price.

Don't give a shit about Todibo tbh, seems like any old CB. Cauliflower was really a special one though, we should have went in for him hard.

But hey, the team as a whole is looking great. Next summer we go all in on a top CB

Calafiori would have given them team a hige boost in term of handsomeness.

Now I wish we could get Skriniar on loan

it was a question of timing. according to the journos we had a deal with bologna before the euros at around 35m. then we wasted some time, calafiori played a few good games at the euros, became the aura boy of the tournament and that was it for us

hopefully we can loan him from arsenal next summer with an option set around 30-35m lol

We made an agreement with the player but it was Bologna that turned down the offer. One match in Euro hyped him up. the guy himself didn't show any sign of interest to play for juve or perhaps we passed on him after raising the price.

I honestly think that will be our best chance. I don’t see him staying at Arsenal that long. Italian players in the EPL don’t mesh well.

If not next summer, then the one after.

I think Guintoli gets way too much hate.
Its ridiculous tbh. He has been doing very good job this summer. And this is his 1st transfer window since arriving from Napoli. Winter is usually to fill some gaps while he arrived too late last summer to make it count and we were in tight spot.

Thing is we were still in a tight spot this season but he's made the most of it for now. Yes, we kicked the can down the road but sustainability should be much better with these salaries. Hopefully we can sell some guys with bigger salaries in the last days. Then this mercato will be a big success at first sight.

The low IQ Jj fan cannot comprehend this
The low IQ Jj fan also cannot comprehend that reducing your payroll by a certain percentage (which was obviously required) doesn't necessarily mean your overall expenses are reduced by the same percentage. It would be interesting to see how much of the recurring costs are now going to be booked as non payroll expenses, writeoffs, etc. How much of a hit we're going to have to take right now to ensure a more positive outlook for the future.

Sure, your books are going to look better immediately, but it might just be bullshit in the end anyway.
