I think we should consider the state of the club he came in to. Weah looks athletic but lacking in confidence or having problem adapting, or not fitting with Allegri, or really is that bereft of creativity which seems unlikely from a former striker/winger. He has been really poor though besides that coppa goal. Milik is a decent backup that came in cheaply. Now we have too many strikers but if we transform towards a 343 or 433, he would be the natural backup Dusan and Kean backup both out wide and in the nine. Not saying it was a great signing but I am not knowledgeable enough to state there were better alternatives at a cheaper fee (plus he was already integrated in the group).
Back to the point though. His main task right now and will continue to be to clear up past messes rather than leaping us forward in quality. I think it is too soon to judge him, only time will tell. We can still criticize him, but should keep in mind he came basically when the mercato was closing. So far though, I am mostly judging him by things he did not do. He did not sign Paredes or players like him, he did not sign another Alex Sandro or renew Sandro's contract. There are a lot of things he didn't do that we would have done in the past. That can be viewed as a step in the right direction.
I wish that was case. Instead he seems to be creating more mess like making insulting comments such as ''a.....i can reach 700th game here'' and going after hacks like lukaku and berardi to replace vlahovic and chiesa.

Toli signed Milk?
He definitely did.

Is this where we prepare to wave goodbye to Giuntoli? :scared:
who would be surprised if it turned out that that's why napoli's process was delayed lol

some will say that the italian sports justice system isn't corrupt and transparent so any judgment will be fair. i just remember how they banned arrivabene for the plusvalenza case (and he wasn't even employed by jj during the affected period) while they haven't even question marotta who was employed by the club at that time. who would be shocked by an other political decision

I’m fairly certain that Milk arrived at Jj a full szn before Toli good ser
And he was signed permanently on June 21st.

Or in layman's terms, 2 weeks before Giuntoli was hired. Because, you know. His contract with Napoli ran out on June 30th.

Giuntoli Deal #17
  • Player: Tiago Djaló
  • Type: permanent signing
  • From: Lille
  • Detail: €3.6m transfer fee, bonuses up to a maximum of €2.6m are envisaged upon achievement of agreed sporting objectives. Contract till June 2026, with an option to extend it for another two years according to Agresti.
  • Note: Romano and Schira both reported that Lille will have 10% on the future sale.
Grade: B+
Comment:
His contract expires in June 2024 and he is in his rehab from an ACL tear, but we decided to try our luck on his caliber and ceiling. Not a big risk considering the money we paid.

Milik, Weah, Felipe Anderson, Koopmehers.

It was really unnecessary for club to pay millions to hire this guy. His only highlights so far are failing to sell vlahovic to chelsea and his shameful, vile praising of allegri. A shitty ai would have done a better job. starting with removing the shitstain who sullyed the name of the club for far too long.

The hipe around this guy was just like when ronaldo came. But this one really is something special. It all looks like that even he didnt expect that juve will be second, 3 point behind inter on 28.01.2024 and will be fighting for a scudetto. And that absolutely suprised him. Now he is without ideas how to react on a scudetto race. All he did this mercato was buying injured never heard of him, Djalo. A guy who is least needed and also send on loan Kean. We all understand that we are poor, but come on...with a small efford you could have done this mercato 100% better, with just loaning or excanging some players that are able to play on positions Allegri needs.

If we lose scudetto this year, it will be because lf him.

The club has no money atm. The most we can hope for are signings like this one and hopefully some of these signings will give us a lift. Next summer though there should be a bit more. However, dont expect miracles. This is a long term project so he will be judged after a few seasons. People talking shit after not even a year hes been here, while finding a club in a difficult situation, are unreasonable.
