I can't say I'm surprised. I was talking to Beppe (GJustJuve) in private not too long ago, he said alot of people in the upper management are royally pissed about the Huijsen deal and it could very well cost his job.

Going to need a more credible source before I get excited.

But this is a good start.

Does he take the gold medal out of the trio of Secco and Paratici for most incompetent sporting director in living memory?

I despised Paratici, and many of his moves in the market have cost us dearly, but I think this man takes home the gold. Secco with the honourable bronze medal.

I hope someone who could actualy provide players for the right coach. And stop spending big money on flops like kellly, cabal, djalo, costa, nico and co.

Good
Thuram
Kalulu
Di Gregorio
Costa

Kolo and Veiga also helped a lot, even if they were dry loans. Conceicao and Nico had their moments. Nico looked like a different guy under Tudor, so I think it’s also hard to tell who was the bigger issue, Motta or Giuntoli.

Bad
Kelly was a disaster. Selling Huijsen, especially after not buying Calafiori was stupid. Douglas Luiz and Koop both had a bunch of fitness issues, they didn’t have good seasons but they’re probably better than they’ve shown, so too early to make a judgement. But overall bad.

It’s also easy to forget as a fan that he had a budget to balance, which he did. They’re in a good spot financially, much better spot at least than they were when he arrived.

I don’t really care if he stays or goes, but with a new manager the time to make a change would be now. So if there are any doubts, he should go now. I don’t like the idea of giving him a middle man like Chiellini or another director to co pilot like Massara. Either you trust him or you don’t.

The real failure was appointing Motta and trying to fulfill his every demand like getting rid of Danilo mid-season ffs. That blind trust in a turd nearly cost us everything.

The players' bad performances have possibly been exaggerated a bit because of absences, bad luck and Motta's ineptitude. But the latter was Giunto's choice...

Juve should always be put first. I won't moan for a second if he leaves. Especially if he collides with Conte; we need that cunt.

Only thing I'd add is our team is in a better place than last season imo; cheaper pay roll and a younger squad with potential. Like Tudor says with a champion or 3, we'll be right there.

I do think we need at least 2 extra managers in a visible role without counting a possible Giuntoli sacking. Anything that happens, better happen fast 'though.

I think a director listening to his manager is a good thing, but yeah he fucked up hiring Motta. Still, I think every director should be allowed to pick two managers, considering how hard it is to find one. But if Conte wants final say on decisions that would compromise Giuntoli, he should leave now.

I actually think he will be fired not for his poor transfer dealings but more for the relationships he's built with people that left and that are still there at the club, that would cost him his job.

There's too much evidence pointing out that he doesn't seem like a right fit for this club, routinely burning bridges with players and coaches (Ex: Danilo, Allegro, Motta etc) and this also proves that being a fan of JJ doesn't necessarily mean you're going to be great at your job. It's a shame because he had built a solid reputation at Napoli but he needed to shake off his Napoli habits to excel at a club like JJ which didn't happen.

Nope. Tici is the worst by far. Not even close.

He's right behind neck to neck with Secco though.

Solid reputation my ass. I remember a Jonathan de Guzman interview in Dutch in which he said he was forced to choose an EPL club for a transfer and they let him run around the hotel for training as traininf while pushing for a transfer which the player didn’t like.

Should have been fired with Motta. Toxic & incompetent. I am still angry at how he treated some of our players. Couldn't put his pride & ego aside to do what was best for Juve.
Don't even mention Huijsen. :lion:
