@Vlad, Allegri got some players in but then complained about the lack of quality to cover his poor showing. Getting rid of them and bringing some of Motta's guys was like losing half a season. Remember, we tried to offload McKennie and got no buyers, last minute sale of Chiesa, etc, a lot was going on. This is only half a Motta team and it's unfortunate that we have long term injuries to deal with. Also, he cut a huge chunk of our wage bill.
On paper, Koopmeiners and Luiz were two of the best performers in all of Europe last season. Maybe Motta isn't getting the best from them and they themselves are underperforming, but if they played to their normal levels, we would be much closer to the top of the table.
