I'm pretty sure Crespo would mind the bench but I couldn't care less as long he scores 10 goals. He can leave next year when he's 34 if he wants.

actualy i remember him getting a lot of chances with Ranieri, he was mostly a starter, but he was so horrible Ranieri dropped him afterwards.

I didn`t want to open new thread and I guess this can work.If some mod could please rename thread to just "Crespo"

Anyway,

If we fail to sign Amauri we`re going after Crespo probably. He`d come for free since his contract expires this summer with Inter.

Roma also want him btw
crespo is a bit old now though. free i suppose i would take him.

His hair's getting whiter and whiter. With the tempo his hair is whitening, until September we can get ourselves a Ravanelli if we buy him.

Dunno about this one. I always wanted him and respected him. He's still a deadly striker.
There is this option where instead of splashing big money for an attacker we can buy ourselves a new defense and few more midfielders while we can only add Crespo for free to our existing attack.
But there is one big problem if we don't buy a great and younger attacker now, because after the next season Del Piero will be 35, Trez will be 32 and Crespo will be 34 and we may find ourselves in a position where we'll need to buy 2 attackers and with the prices good attackers hold nowdays we may easily have to splash ~50m eur only to buy these 2 attackers.

That's why i'd rather buy a very good , under 30 attacker, right now and be sorry that Crespo never played for Juve.

"cresp deserves juve"? Crespo deserves a slap in the face for the jersey he's wearing :p

No seriously, this is bullocks. It's just a slight slap in the face to inter from gigli stating that 'crespo would deserve something better than inter'. Well done gigli; now stop that talk, otherwise crespo will really want to come.

Name changed.

And i wouldnt think twice about bringing Crespo. He would be an excellent backup for Trezeguet,or even a rotation player as we'd be playing in 3 competitions next season.I dont see the 'If we dont get Amauri,we'd get Crespo' logic though. They arent similar players.

well they are not similar, but we surely won't bring both. Although we definately need another forward, bringing 2 new guys would not be very wise. Especially not if the second one has 32yrs. Should the amauri deal collapse, we could think about crespo, but otherwise he's definately a no-go for me. I mean, he is a great player and all, but he won't go on for more than 2 seasons, and he's just not what we need. He would be a trez-replacement, but so could be amauri (even if his main role would be to play alongside trez - i rate amauri very versatile, which is his big plus)

Yes we wont sign both. What i mean was that if we were linked to another all out striker, then Crespo being an alternative to him made sense. But Crespo being an alternative to Amauri doesnt sound right.
