Also, the Indian Prime Minister has asked everyone here to observe a 14 hour self-imposed curfew tomorrow between 7am and 9pm, and wants us to get out of our houses at 5pm and applaud the healthcare workers. This seems like a fuckin' PR move so that we get in the news in much the same way that Italians did when they played music and sang while on lock. But overall, this seems like a trial run for a full scale nationwide lockdown to cut the spread of the virus cos our testing numbers are fuck all and our situation is gonna worsen in the next 2 weeks. God help us!

This is the main problem. 20% of cases are hospitalized, and a significant portion of them are young people. No health system us built for that. If you want to “live normally” you have to get your hospital capacity to those levels.

Germany has probably the best medical healthcare in Europe. Their number of beds, respirators and doctors is quite huge.

The worst thing about this virus is the panic that took control of the people. I stayed at home for a week but that's it. Today I took a walk in the city center and I intend to live normally from now on. Enough of this bullshit. It's a great social experiment I gotta admit but I won't be a part of it anymore.

It will drastically slow the spread of the virus, and once the lockdown is lifted, the country will have resources in place to better tackle new cases.
The lockdown should have happened two weeks ago. But it's still not too late.
