I like Andy. He’s a cool guy. I even agree with his pessimism about government in general..: I get people being frustrated with the democrats in 2016 and disliking Hillary.

What I don’t get is the inability to concede that this imbecile in office is entirely unfit for it, a total clown, constantly lying out both sides of his mouth, abusing the power of the office to enrich himself and his cronies, and showing a borderline criminal disregard and negligence for the average American’s health and well-being.

I get that people like their 401Ks and the stock market, but there is a little more to life than this, and a lot more to governing a country than giving a percentage of the population a rosy 401K outlook (not so rosy right now though :shifty: ).

As the boomers die off and population shifts, guys like Andy may be in for a rude awakening when someone like AOC ends up as president, and they shall have no one to blame but themselves.
Thanks, you're not too bad yourself, although sometimes I feel like a broken record here. ;) If we want to discuss how much of an idiot I am, perhaps we can do that in the Politics thread.

If only this could happen. Instead they spent a month calling it a fake news hoax by the “mainstream media” with zero consequence.

It’s really to bad Trump cannot/will not be impeached for his comments in February/early March saying it was no big deal, no worse than flu, etc.
This is such bullshit. She was still calling out democrats for misleading the public about the Coronavirus 6 weeks after she sold millions in stocks.

De Blasio says hospitals are weeks from running out of supplies. Really need Trump to step up here...

Trump refusing to invoke Defense Production Act

    Reasoning:

"Governors are supposed to be doing a lot of this work, and they are doing a lot of this work,” he said. “The federal government’s not supposed to be out there buying vast amounts of items and then shipping. You know, we’re not a shipping clerk.”

Context: 'He said Thursday that governors should be acquiring ventilators — but he didn’t clarify how when there is a shortage, and states may not have the money to purchase them anyway.'

lol another one. How the fuck is this legal?
I sold off stocks and then shorted the market myself. If in the meetings they were discussing between themselves that everyone should sell their stocks, then that would be insider trading. In this case, it might be tough to prove because news of the outbreak was public information.

We do tend to discuss the same things in a rather cyclical fashion, with more or less frustration and ire, dependent probably on how the real world life goes :lol2:

what’s tough to prove about the president telling Americans not to worry and that it was just a little flu that would pass while behind the back him and his cronies are selling off stock?

oh and remember that coronavirus meetings were declared top secret. I wonder why

Don Jr went on Fox News a week ago advising everyone to buy stocks, saying he’ll do the same. I’d like to see if he really did.

Why do you always pick on Andy for being a republican/voting for Trump but not lgor for being a Trump supporter?
