The problem we are facing is, lately DP has been the only creative player. So if DP doesn't start or doesn't play this game I won't be so optimistic about our display.
Del Piero cannot play all Serie A and Coppa games, this way he won't be fit on tough clashes.
I think Palladino should get a chance to start this game.

This is a pretty reckless midfield by Ranieri standards, but they need goals, so I'd opt for two offensive wingers, a playmaker like Tiago and rely on Zanetti to keep the midfield cohesive.

Boumsong and Grygera is just too weak of a CB combo, and even a depleted Empoli could have their way with that... Chiellini must be in the middle. Nedved and Del Piero in as needed.
