we should field a b-team, but allegri won't have one at his disposal due to the injuries and the general lack of bench players. how many bench players do we have now anyway? rugani, neto, padoin, caceres, zaza, lemina, hernanes, maybe asamoah, and that's all.

last year allegri tended to experiment with the lineups during coppa games. we played either 3-5-2 or 4-3-1-2 in the serie a, and 4-3-3 in the coppa. so it's 4-4-2 time! :tuttosport:

neto - licht, barza, rugani, evra - padoin, sturaro, marchisio, alex sandro - zaza, morata

Khedira can't play the regista/central holding role. Time for Lord Padoin, il fuoriclasse regista, to make his much-awaited return.

Neto
Rugani Bonucci Caceres
Steiner Sturaro Padoin Polpo A.Sandro
Simhotep Morata

Sub Pogba out at 60' for Khedira unless we need a goal.

Think only semifinals are two-legged.
How do you mean khedirs cant play there ?
Its his best role

I wouldn't rotate the squad that much. We only have 2 games before the break. Something lik this would be good:

Neto

Licht - Rugani - Bonucci - Chiellini - A.Sandro
Khedira - Marchisio - Pogba
Zaza - Morata

3-5-2 so far...
Neto
Cb/rugani-cb-cb/rugani
Lichtsteiner-Khedira-Marchisio-Pogba-Alex Sandro
Zaza-Morata

Only Rugani is confirmed in defence, and its being said that Khedira will start and Marchisio and Pogba could as well.Licht and Alex Sandro look set to start as well

Imhotep to score a hattrick. Neto to save a pk. Rugani to have 100% tackle success. Morata to also score so we can @Hustini his thread.

You heard it all here first.

It seems Lemina, Hernanes, Pereyra are unavailable.
Asamoah depends on Allegri

I hope that Neto, Rugani, Zaza and Morata have a monster game and carry us. In this kind of games they need to show they are eager.

Khedira never played that role in his whole pro career. He is a B2B, one who's more defensively inclined.

In any case, Marchisio should be rested. He has been playing non-stop for club and country for a while. Last time he didn't play was a while ago. Everyone else has gotten a rest since then. Based on what Allegri said, they've been trying to get Hernanes ready for the game. Lemina is getting his injury checked in Barcelona.

Wich is basically what i meant

Marchisio is also a b2b midfielder, who supports. Thing is when he plays deep he's twice as good. Same with Khedira, doesnt have the aggression or danger to be too offensive as a b2b imo.

Play Asamoah and Lemina or sturaro next to khedira and it will be solid

you're right to lol, that's a perfectly nice b-team for handball.
No i mean, having 8 reserves in the lineup, thats pretty much a b team right there

Perfect match for him to play and get some confidence back. Man, if Allegri doesn't start him...

Khedira needs to keep playing to get Fitness. Pogba needs some time to rest.
