Watch the way Inter plays the ball, and puts guys in the box, and then watch us try to play, lose the ball, and when we do have the off chance of an attack, only one player is in the box (Amauri)
yep seen that, and this problem of not bringing enough players or getting some passes in the opposition's ground is the main cause we lose the game...melo with sissoko(=2 dm's) plus a de cegle that was clueless can't get you possesion and can't make some attackin rythim...the only one who desperate tried that was diego and candreva..amauri was so lost in inter's defence he didn't counted. I am starting to like diego...it is obvious that him, chiello and gigi are the backspine for juventus...without them we would be on 15, and kicked out of europe for good. Anyways i'm hoping that our new coach will see these things...see the fact that if you play with 2 dm's you can't score, only from luck.

Well, this sucks.

Much like the Roma game, I feel we didn't play bad. Good organisation, a lot of motivation, ... But the fact of the matter is that we lost, yet again, because:
a) Things are just not going our way, no matter how hard we try &
b) The team we had out there last night simply isn't as good as Inter. That's not even up for debate.

I do think it was a very entertaining game. Both teams made a lot of (little) mistakes, which lead to a pretty open game. Strangely enough, there weren't that many clear cut chances, especially not in the 1st half.
Inter did pile on the pressure in the 2nd, always pinning us back, but I think we coped reasonably well.
We did seem exhausted late in the 2nd half, so we clearly could have used some subs. Then again, not a lot of possibilities on our bench.

How fitting though that we were very lucky to gain an advantage early on, only to be extremely unlucky near the end.

And maybe it's me, but seeing Ferrara out there last night, he didn't seem like a coach who had already been told that his time is up.

Buffon 6 - Looked rather insecure, but made some good saves.
Grygera 6 - Decent game.
Cannavaro 6 - Mostly good game. Concentrated.
Chiellini 6,5 - As usual, vital for our team.
Grosso 6,5 - Surprisingly good game. He did keep the saltelli dude on side for the 2nd goal though.
Candreva 5,5 - When he was involved, he was pretty good. Too bad that he went missing for large periods of time.
Sissoko 5,5 - Some vital work as always, but his lousy passing troubled us more than once.
Melo 7 - I don't know if I really believe it myself but for me he was our best player out there. Clear handball near the end of the 1st half though, should / could have been a pen.
De Ceglie 6 - Nothing special, but definitely not bad.
Diego 6 - He is involved in every attacking move & he may just be the hardest working player on our team right now, but he has a tendency to overcomplicate things. A lot of screw ups.
Amauri 5 - At times I felt he did quite good, other times he was nothing more than terrible.

Paolucci -

And for the record : Balotelli is a twat.

i agree with every point u mad expect for Diego, i think he deserve a higher rating, the guy is playing his soul out doing everything in our attack and taking a hit after another. i wont say that he is complicating things much as the other players making so bad positioning.
yesterday Amauri keeps himself very close to defenders as if he is marking them which make the through pass to him even harder. De Ceglie want to cross so he seem to get the ball from diego and move to the right where maicon will make him suffer and loose the ball. and the last player is Candreva, even though i still find him a very average player IMO, he was nowhere in 2nd half. always think of the dribble

Whats the point of firing him now that everything is lost? He should have been fired 3 months ago. Now, the whole management should be fired.
Tell me about it.

I know that Ciro MUST leave but at the same time I see no point in getting a new coach now.

I believe it was Jack who asked Ciro to be fired after the Bordeaux game. The rookie coaching mistakes mixed with all the individual flaws of our players made it clear back then that things will only be worst from that point.
I agreed with Jack but at the same time it was clear to me that they won't fire Ciro while he's 2nd in the league and with a home match and a draw away from passing the CL groups.

But the Christmas break was a must. Holding the winter trainings with a new manager and a new fitness coach were surely going to change a lot.

Now what? Even a great coach will have lots of trouble fixing the mistakes done in the pre-summer and winter preparations. Even a great coach will need lots of time to set up a new tactical system that will work, to make the players run with a purpose, to work on the off the ball movement, on passing. It will take even more time for an average coach to do it and I doubt that he'll be able to do it.

Our injury crisis will make it even worse and the pressure on him and on the players to get the 4th place won't help.

We will achieve nothing but lose more money for firing Ciro and paying the new coach.
We are now in position when we must fire the coach and we know that we won't achieve anything at all from firing him.

yep alen but if we still keep him we can slip to the 9,10th position...but with a new coach we still have a chance ofl getting up on the chart..

I was just picturing you how fucked up we are. At the same time we must fire Ciro and we know that we almost surely won't achieve much if we fire him.

Only one group of people should take the whole blame for this, and we all know which group of people I'm talking about.

i think that if we will get an ucl spot will be an important achievement....if not, goodbye rafa, guus, etc etc...and with an average joe as coach, we will be an average club next year. The good part is that Juventus has only league games so we can concentrate all our efforts to get back on track.

We didn't have a bad game yesterday...

IMO the best players for us were Diego and Melo.

The truth is that Inter just had better players available than us.

I don't blame Ciro in this one because he couldn't do nothing else with the palyers that were fit.

toldo in the net and mourinho's subs tells you all...they relaxed their best men and we didn't took the opportunity of beating them

Maicon, Lucio, Cambiasso, Zanetti, Sneijder, Pandev and Milito are inter's best players... from what i remember only Eto and Julio Cesar didn't play...from their best players offcourse.

lucio, cambiasso, zanetti can't be compared with momo, canna and chiello imo. But you're right about maicon, sneijder and pandev....now milito entered like in the 70-80th minute no?.. i donno, i saw a weak inter yesterday, too bad we were even weaker in the offense.
