Agree with Brandmon. I dont think it is entirely Ciro's fault. He is doing what he can with an already much depleted squad and tonight he really has no options from the bench. Seriously how many games were we able to play with our first team squad so far ? The injuries are just amazing (i blame the medical team and our fitness coach for that and demand that we change them)

About the board... I guess we're still paying for Calciopoli.. the club needed to balance the book after the calciopoli hence hire a more business minded management board rather than what we used to have which is understandable to a certain degree as we had far more serious problem at that time of losing the club. This decision obviously has its ups and downs. While we're able to avoid a financial lapse and stay as one of the healthier club, we are paying for their incompentencies and lack of football knowledge hence the hiring of Secco and the strange group of players that he managed to bring in (andrade, boumsong, tiago, almiron, amauri, grosso etc)

What we really need now is people in the management team who understands the type of football that we're playing and who can identify the players that can fit into our system. Hopefully Bettega can be our solution from now onwards but I think it would not hurt to have another person maybe to fill in our techinal director position (as we have none so far from my recollection).

Given hindsight and a better transfer strategist, we could have identified our problem much sooner.

1) Defense

At the moment, we dont have the defense that is worthy of a club like Juve. Just take a look at our current defense and compare them when we were at our prime. You will understand what I mean.

For goodness sake, when chiellini is out, we have a 35 years old and 33 years old guarding our defense. We starting to become like Milan when we trashed them 6-1 at San Siro with Vierchowod and Baresi at their defense.

Regarding our fullbacks, we need full backs worth filling in as our first team players. Grosso is at his best only good enough for our cover. He is 32 years old and we can not expect to run up and down the field all the time. And please someone, please get a right full back... not caceres (he is not a full back). I can not understand why we're not going for Motta as he is available for loan and can be a solution.

Defense had always been our greatest strength over the years and we simply need to invest more in our defense.

2) Midfield

I think Midfield is the least to our problem at the moment (when healthy). The acquisition of Candreva certainly going to be useful for us. Although, adding someone who can fill in Nedved's spot on the left would be even better if we're going with 442. Otherwise, we are okay, not great, at the moment.

3) Attack

Two words that we need at the moment : Pace and movement. At the moment, our attacks are just to predictable and have no varieties. Given hindsight, I would not buy Amauri given the type of striker we already have in our disposal at that time and used the money instead to focus on the likes of Rossi, Cassano, Pandev or Tevez who can offer us more pace, movement and better keeper of the ball. But again, we have Secco running our business.:sergio:

you have some valid points but we can not grudge the past ...

all we can hope for is that this economical minded board does achieve not only the economical health of juventus but also the sporting success.

this season is ruined anyways so if we at least get back to the way we played last season in the next season it would be a huge step forward (add to that, that our stadium is finished in foreseeable future) and from then on we can make small steps to the top.

There is a difference between playing well and moving well. I agree with all your ratings and I guess i'm one of the rare ones here who think Candreva had a bad match, but I think it was obvious that he was the only one running from the midfield 4 and was opening up all the time for a pass. The fact that he rarely got those passes and he was pretty clumsy with the ball is what makes your rating for him, imo, deserved.

And I don't know if I can even say that he was moving well. Maybe the fact that the others weren't moving at all is what made him look different.
They all expected the pass straight into their leg and didn't bother to run for the pass. If Diego passed the ball a little forward, we were losing it because the idiots didn't bother to run.

P.S: Actually, I disagree with your Amauri rating. He was among the worst "movers" tonight. During counters he was simply standing instead of making a run.
Amauri is not a fast pace striker that moves a lot i say. He is more of striker that hold the ball and give it to other players like attacking mid when it comes to counter attack i say. Also Candreva best position is not a winger.

I agree when you say our problem are passing and off the ball movement. And if i want to make priority between both problems. I think the off the ball movement is our biggest problem that lead to lot of misplaced passing because there is no option for our players to pass when they surrounded by opponent players. And other than that is a player mistake. There caused by strategy and players selection. I don't know what Ciro tell to the players that make they movement so limited

About IQ, i also agree he is the striker we need in this kind of situation because we need to move to create chances. And only IQ that can do it. That's why i don't agree if we sell Amauri just to buy Pazzini. Pazzini also not kind of a striker we need right now

That'll be Ciro's last chance, if we don't proceed through the Europa League he will be fired...or will he?

Whats the point of firing him now that everything is lost? He should have been fired 3 months ago. Now, the whole management should be fired.
Maybe, just maybe we can get enough points to catch 3rd or 4th place to enter the Champions League for next year.

I'm surprised Ultra fans haven't sent death threats to Ferrara and Blanc, or even plotted an assassination attempt.

What is the point threatening Ferrara. IMO he is not at all responsible for this mess. He is a terrible coach and we cannot blame that, as everybody need not be a guardiola. Blank is responsible for taking decisions and he shouldve hired a good coach before the season or atleast after the Bayern humiliation

The loser express rides on...... what a fucking trip this has been

I wont waste my time running down all the flaws in this team and management, I think any novice fan of football could see that we were NEVER going to hold on to the 1-0 lead, and the goal we managed to score was on a total howler by Toldo

Watch the way Inter plays the ball, and puts guys in the box, and then watch us try to play, lose the ball, and when we do have the off chance of an attack, only one player is in the box (Amauri), and what we are usually left with is a shot from 30 yards out....not the best odds of scoring those. Most of the time, we just lose the ball and give up the counter-attack

I'm embarassed to be a Juve fan right now...I cant believe how low we have fallen, and just how badly we play.

ZERO, BLANK, SUCKO all have to resign....none are good enough to steer this team to success, only into the ground
