Apparently on SKY Blanc said that because we lost our 1st goal of the season :wth:, actions will be taken tomorrow. :andyandbarcelona:
Goal as in objectives? Rofl! So none of our objectives were to make it through the group stages of the CL? And not get in the top 3 in the league?

I'm not saying that our midfield had bombarded him with through balls. But you can't expect them to pass him the ball with him being surrounded between their 2 CB's.
that is exactly his task ... bind as many of the opponents defenders as possible so we can gain a numerical advantage, because when they mark him with two defenders there is one of our players they can not mark (mathematically).

but this does only work if there is actually anybody willing to exploit that ... there you have the link to our midfield who sits back in our own half without pushing up to keep the opponent busy.

if amauri binds the two centre backs and each of our side-midfielders make a run you have all 4 defenders busy and diego would only need to skip past one player (there defensive midfielder) to have a free run on goal (until one of amauris markers decides to give up marking him)...

man, sometimes i think i really need some video-device with markers and so on like they have on the tv-shows where you can mark the runs and spaces in the video footage ^^

He HAS to move and create spaces. See the difference Milito made when he got in. He was always finding free spaces between our CB's which made it easier for Sneijder and Motta to give him the ball.
amauri has to stay up there ... that is the task of the centre forward

if you play with two strikers one is the centre forward and the other (second striker) has to make these runs, but with only one striker he may not make these runs, because he will not be in the position he needs to be if we want to play a throughball on goal.

you can not compare that to milito, because milito did not play as lone striker ... he had ballotelli as very versatile roaming striker with which he could switch positions often

The media or our BOD I don't know who tells the truth but they say that if Ciro won today then if they waited 4-5 days then Rafa would have come now but because we lost then they don't want to wait and are going with Zac.

This can't be true right?

Benitez would not have left Liverpool at this point in the season mate.

We're not going to get Benitez now, we're going to get a temporary coach and maybe get Rafa next season. He won't leave Livepool now.

Wait, so last season the 2nd place in serie A and passing the groups in CL were our objectives.
When Ranieri lost the 2nd place in the end, he was fired and that was the excuse. He risked missing out on an objective.

What were our objectives this year then? Were they any different than last year? If they weren't, why did we bother changing anything and why didn't we fire Ciro after failing to achieve one objective (pass the CL groups)?

Pathetic.

Anyway, this is just an excuse to fire Ciro. It makes them look even more pathetic because there were 100 reasons to fire him earlier and saying that he's fired because he failed to win the Coppa is idiotic.

I know, that's why I'm still laughing. Can you believe the crap the media throws at us. Unbelievable!
It makes us buy there papers. You have to admire the mind games they play on people. Best not to get excited until it appears on the official website.

But then again, this game didn't show Amauri's inability as a striker but his inability as a lone one. He was simply out of place.
i would like to throw you into a pit ... without something to drink and to eat ...

this will just show your inability as a normal human being, because you will starve when nobody gives you something to eat down that pit (..SUPPORT..)

man you really suck at simple living when there is nobody to help you in your pit ...

And when the movement of the entire team is non-existent, it is pretty clear who has to take responsibility for that.
amauri !

1st objectives maybe meaning they still believe we can win the scudetto and a CL. :p

CL OUT so I guess that wasn't one of them so that leaves the scudetto. If that's still one of their goal. :burke:

I hated this. Yet unlike the other games I didn't hate this Juve. We fought with the same hunger that we always show these scum. We had a good foot on the Midfield and our defense was doing some good defending. But our faults were our downfall.

First of all Amauri. When the guy he is supposed to receive the balls from does more Striker's work than he does, you sure as hell know that he is not doing it right. I have not noted Amauri doing ANYTHING good, if anything at all. Only notable thing that I saw him do were some lone runs where he preferred to go forward and fail rather than pass towards Diego and find better space (I doubt he would have even used that space wisely anyhow)

Also Grygera. Grosso didn't play a bad game at all, he was the part of the team that wanted to win, I was pleased with him. Yet he didn't do some amazing work. But he did look amazing. And that is because of the contract with Grygera's awfulness. He was pathetic in defense and nearly useless forward. Where is the good RB that we have been begging for the past 2 years? Caceres is clearly not enough.

But for the rest of the team? I was impressed, yet clearly not perfect. We had done some weak passes and done some other silly mistakes. But they gave Inter a run for their money. Always fighting for possession, going forward whenever possible and not do Inter any favors. If we had a striker that works well with Diego, we would have been deadly when it mattered. And if we had a RB that does his job well, our defense would have been solid and in turn our offense would have benefited.

And for Ferrara, as much as its attractive to put the blame on him (and I bet everyone and his uncle in this forum has done so while I posted this), it's just unfair to do so. The formation he thought out was a job well done given the fact that we had soo many first team players missing. Any other possible formations wouldn't have done a better job at all. The only fault with Ferrara was his caution with the substitutions and I think that he should have subbed Zebina with Grygera. Yet any sub we would make wouldn't have made a difference so it was irrelevant. While Inter had their bench full of players able to play in the first team, we had to do with the much inferior quality, mainly guys drawn from the Primavera. Clearly Ferrara didn't have the Aces available that Mourinhio enjoyed in the game.

In the end, this game just sums up the season for the Board. During summer the RB problem was left unsolved and we payed for it. Diego was all great but without proper strikers, we can't finish. We just clearly lack any ability in the market. We clearly needed Pandev more than Inter did and we should have gone for him. Yet this board is simply unable to get what it wants, unlike the one a decade ago. And shouldn't they have asked themselves 'Why do we have half the squad Injured?' by now? I doubt they did.

I would say that the team deserved to win. Their spirit was no different than our other Inter games and also reminded me of the 2nd Leg Chelsea game last season. Yet the team is simply the victim of other's incompetence.

The board got an answer for the decisions day made for the season and it was a bitter yet a very just one indeed.
100% agree on every word

A centre forward is going to be surrounded by opponent's defense 99% of the time of course. But it is his job to AT LEAST try and find spaces for a run from a pass of our midfielder.

Our midfield passing sucks, 100%. But his static performances won't help at all.

Anyway I'm tired of this. We just have to agree to disagree here.

Seriously mate, don't bother going there. + rep for the efforts though.
