Balzaretti, Emerson,Mutu were my men for tonight, The rest were just taking a stroll through the park. I hope we play alot better next match. Otherwise they will take advantage of our silly mistakes we had today. Especially Toni, he has no mercy on defenses so we better step up

I didn't see the game but apparently Mutu was good once again. It's also good to hear that Balzaretti did well but I'm disappointed that Gladstone didn't make an appearance. What's the damn sense of keeping players at the club, like Gladstone and Olivera, if they aren't going to play? We're in December and neither Gladstone nor Olivera have stepped onto the pitch. Either play them in unimportant games like this, loan them out or sell them.

2-2 away from home is a good result.

Buffon-Should have done better in the 2nd goal. Anyhow I didn't expect lot from him. Welcome back Super-man. 5.5

Pess-Wasn't trying hard, tho he wasn't Focusing 100% on the game he did better than the others....not to forget his goal. that was superb! 6

Kovac-Did couple of mistakes, Seems he didn't sleep well. and should have covered better in the 2nd goal. 5

Thuram-He takes some blame for the 1st goal as he allowed the player to take the shot. He seemed little bit slow in the 1st half, 2nd half was much better for him. Hope he'll do better on Sunday. 5.5

Balz-This kid somehow entertained me today, he was looking fresh moving all around. He combined well with Adrian. 6

Blasi-was invisible in the 1st half....He saved us couple of times in the 2nd half. atleast he did better than his prev matches. 6

Gianni-Another weak Performance by the ex-Lazio man. Subs him by the Puma man was a good thing. 5

Mutu-Some of you might now give him some credits for the goal or calling him the man of the match, But apart from that lucky goal, I saw him doing lot of mistakes(Passin, Crossing). Anyhow, Seems Adrian is getting more confident day by day, thats a good thing. 6

Dp-Didn't have a good match....his 1st half was better. In the 2nd half he kinda disappeard for a while. Hope he'll get his head back. 5.5

Zala-Slow, can't pass, can't control the ball. He was really bad tonight. 4

Zlatan- I expected him to move the game little bit more after he entered but he wasn't really in action. But Ofcoarse better than Marcelo. 5.5

Neddy-Was trying hard with his crosses and he was running alot. Was a good thing to put him on the field after we were 2-1 down. 6

Emerson-Probably the best player in our team(2nd half) that was a good move from Cap to put him on the field. He did what he was supposed to do. 6.5

Good rating Azzuri, its really hard to determine a MOM when most of our players were so-so. I completely forget about Balz, i think ill give him equal credit for MOM.

Not a bad game with 2 teams committed to attack and a lot of mistakes here and there. Apart from when i think it was tear gas on the field and the game had to be suspended for like 30 minutes
The goals were scored by Bojinov, which was the best goal fo the night as they carved open Juve's defence before he unleashed an unstoppable shot past Buffon, the second was clearly handball as Pazzini handled it, before slotting past buffon, played onside by Blasi
Our goals were scored by Pessotto, with a very good shot and was immediately substituted, while the second was a fluke by Mutu as his cross was misplaced and went in

Buffon: Did not have a lot to do on his return to first team action, both goals he could do nothing about, and he made only 1 worthwhile save all nite 5.5
Blasi : To be honest he is just substandard and did not contribute a single thing going forward, he does have energy and he did make 1 or 2 timely saves at the back, but if you are gonna persist with 4-4-2, no way should he play at right back 5
Pesotto: Before his goal, he was absolutely useless, misplaced passes the whole night and does not help the attack in a positive way, but he did help his cause with a splendid goal, then was immediately subbed , typical Capello 5.5
Balzaretti: I had never heard of him until tonite, and if this kid has not been injured all season , how come he has not been playing as he is an upgrade on Blasi, Chiellini and Pessotto, he was great on the right midfield, competent on the left full back position and he has pace, my man of the match 7
Thuram: Did not do too much wrong or right, some good interceptions and also a few misplaced passes 5.5
Kovac: he is a defender and thats all, he has no awareness, no passing ability at all which was somewhat embarassing to watch at times but he is a no nonsense defender 5
Vieria: was awful, as his passes were misplaced , he tried to dominate midfield but he couldn't and he did have a wonderful shot which was tipped over by Frey 5
Giannichedda: You know what you are gonna get from him, he tried his best and i didnt think he was bad at all, broke up the play with technical fouls 5.5
Mutu: For the first 40 minutes, he was terrible, then he had a very good 5 minutes before half time, did some good and not so good play in the second half and his goal was a fluke, misplaced passes did not help his cause but he is playing outta position 6
Dp: Frankly he was anonymous, most of the game, but intelligent off the ball runs, helped his cause, but he is one player i know that will not make anything out of a bad pass, as he never tries to make a bad pass from a team mate into a good one by trying, goes down to easily as well. Had an awful free kick , but had a header tapped in unecessarily by Zlatan which who know if it went it might have been deemed a goal by the imcompetent officials 5.5
Zalayeta: Just no football sense whatsoever, had a very good shot which hit the bar, from Dp's pathetic free kick, tried always to control balls he should have whipped in first time and off cos he miscontrolled and not surprisingly subbed 5.5
Zlatan: came on for Zalayeta and frankly did sweet f.a 5
Nedved: ditto 5
Emerson: If not for the fact that I had never heard of Balzaretti, he would quite easily have been my man of the match as he was superb when he came on, did everything Vieria was expected to do 7
Capello: As far as I am concerned his substitutions did not really do much as Pessotto scored just before he brought 3 of them on and he was subbed and only Emerson contributed. nedved on the right and Mutu on the left, is just mindboggling 5

Tear gas stopped the Coppa Italia third round match between Fiorentina and Juventus at the Stadio Artemio Franchi for more than 25 minutes on Thursday. The Turin side recovered to fight back from two goals down and level the score at 2-2, with the second leg still to be played in two weeks time.

The trouble flared just after the restart when tear gas, deployed earlier outside the stadium, started to drift over the pitch causing breathing difficulties for both fans and players.

Referee Luca Palanca had no option but to call a halt to proceedings and wait for the gas to dissipate.

Prior to the incident, Fiorentina had been leading through a first half Valeri Bojinov strike, and a memorable one at that.

TOP DRAW

The finish from the young Bulgarian was right out of the top draw, but the build up was even better, involving a slick interchange of passing between Tomas Ujfalusi and Christiano Maggio on the right hand side. The cross was controlled and then superbly half-volleyed into the top right hand corner by the man they are calling the Bulgaria's answer to Wayne Rooney.

Bojinov was a joy to behold in the first half, and the 18-year-old saw a brilliant free kick shave the top of Gigi Buffon's crossbar just before the break.

Buffon was making his first appearance of the season for the Old Lady following an operation on his shoulder over the summer, but he found himself picking the ball out of the back of the net for a second time two minutes after referee had deemed the stadium fit enough to be played in.

There was a hint of suspicion over Gianpaolo Pazzini's goal, as the Fiorentina player seemed to control the ball with his hand, but the referee waved play on the goal stood.

But Juventus responded in the way of champions.

Just four minutes later, the visitors were handed a lifeline as Gianluca Pessotto cracked home from 20 yards following a Patrick Vieira layoff.

LEVELLER

And with just over twenty minutes left, Juve levelled through an Adrian Mutu effort that caught everyone by surprise. He fired a cross/shot into the box from the left wing that fooled everyone, perhaps himself included, and rocketed into the top right hand corner, with Sebastien Frey beaten all ends up in the Fiorentina goal.

Juventus take two important away goals back to the Stadio Delle Alpi in two weeks time for the second leg of the tie, but unfortunately, once again it will be the violence, and the possible sanctions to follow, that will make the headlines.

good reports/ratings Rab and Denco,but i have a question:
Mutu was that bad the 30 first minutes i ve missed?

because he started 4 counterattacks in five minutes, right after the goal
and in the second half his combinations+touch with Balza was the best thing our team could offer offensively,he rarely loosed the ball or cought offside, his FK executions were decent,he was impressive to watch, fast, productive and efficient,
that goal really stunned him and he needed some minutes to recover, but he was back again providing good crosses, runs and presented again some playmaker abilities when he was near the center.

Emo was very solid the minutes he played,
watching from the bench our team loosing like that really motivated him,
he was flawless defensively and even used some Brazilian magic at times,

Balza was very impressive too the last 60 minutes i watched,we MUST use him again
