Tiago played better then Nocerino last two matches in Seriea A but yet again he was benched again and he will be again this sunday.
You cannot compare what Tiago did to what Nocerino does. Tiago wouldn't have succeeded against a five-man midfield against Palermo and against Milan we would have lost the battle in the middle. We needed Nocerino in both games. Tiago will get to start, I am sure of it.

Because we wont fight Empoli every match day.
I like Marchisio, a lot, i ve seen what he can do, but i believe we need to get rid of the junk and buy decent player, a player that would bench Nocerino hands down,
Marchiso may take Almiron's place, but he is not ready for a starter yet...
Yea but when you have Zanetti, Nocerino, Tiago and Marchisio, you don't actually need more. Four good midfielders that can be rotated smartly.

The team Ranieri put out really didn't make sense now that I think about it. Tiago-Almiron and DP-Palla can't work together.

Now I'm hearing that Salihamidzic played on the left. What was Ranieri thinking?
And the whole thing is fucked up when you play long balls with this pair upfront.

We didn't play long balls tonight. We tried to play a passing game but Almiron was taking control of that and he made sure to give the ball away. Tiago tried the mid range passes and he actually delivered some good ones.

Why are you looking to bench Nocerino? I love what we've done with him. We've taken a young Italian prospect and given him a chance and he's been excellent so far this season. Why not give Marchisio that same chance?

Actually the long ball thing should be blamed on Ranieri, why can't we play a normal game, pass, open wide, cross here and there, one two passes etc... why the hell do we always depend on long balls?

our midfield was horrible today... god..

the strikers had very little to work with and we missed the drive we get from Nedved and Camo alot.

I am not mad at Ranieri for this though as alot of ppl want to see Almiron and other players who don't play much from the start and he gave them their chance tonight. They lacked determination though and that is worrying. I think we will still get through though so I am not upset by the loss. With Trez, Nedved, Camo, Zanetti, Buffon and Chiellini on from the start we will be a much better team in Turin.

As for the comments for Ranieri to get fired ... don't be stupid.

He rotated his squad just as many coaches would do for the Coppa and the squad did not respond. I was very unimpressed with both central mids and it seems like Sali and Marchionni are really out of form and are struggling to make an impact or even a proper pass.

Giovinco however was stunning. Is there any chance of him coming back this winter or is gone till the summer? If he returns this winter at least we wont have to play him again :)

it looks to me if empoli gave tiago a lot of space then he could of work wonders but, they played very smart and pressured us in the midfield...

and further more DP your a sneaky son of a gun with that free kick

One thing is clear after today's match: Tiago is the one who will stay here and slowly become a starter,Almiron can already pack his bags and take a flight to Piraeus or Moscow.

Nocerino was one of our best, if not our best player vs Milan.
Agreed about that but Tiago should get much more chances and not just be benched always.Don`t you think its stupid to see Tiago playing good and he was one of best players few weeks ago and still no chance for him next matches? If not,we have wasted 12m Euros.

Although almiron was 0 and should already buy a one way ticket out of turin, i think there are some other players who didnt do much either. Like marchionni and well palladino was also not that good. Neither plays in XI although they have played more then tiago&almiron, they had chance to show what they can do, palladino had chance to show that he could play in XI, marchionni had chance to show that he can push nedved out of XI, and that his muscles are effective when they arent injured.

And although we are rebuilding, it seems we need to rebuild all over again in the next summer. WHAT A MESS.

Even thinking of benching Nocerino at this stage is folly. If Tiago forces his way into the starting lineup it should be at Zanetti's expense. He's been great for us too but Nocerino's running has become crucial.

Did someone notice who made the mistake for the second goal ?

I think it was one of our central defenders who made a terribile pass and then it was Almiron who couldn't catch Empoli's player.

i am not mad at almiron today.. i do understand when a player is benched for awhile and hasn't played are not going to come out shinning....Look a brindelli when is the last time you saw him start..he had a couple of mistakes but, you can't blame him becuase his gotta get that feel of the ball and feel comfortable in a match after sitting out for awhile.......i just hope that almiron gets out of his slump and regains that great form in the pre-season and empoli if not then sell him get someone else..

That so painful and humiliating, i was expecting for this game to end up a draw
and i hoped that our reserves (well, some of them at least) will get th chance to prove themselves and show us some good signs for the future.
Unfortunately they proved that they suck so much and that they are unworthy of wearing this legendary jersey.
The keeper suck, bad, everytime i see him he gets worse, he reminds me of Chimenti...
The defense was a tragedy, our best defender was Biri and he wasnt in a good day...even Legro was dissapointing... Grygera cannot play from the left, he had many problems with positioning and ball control.
We paid 10 mil for the other half of Criscito right? ...
The Almiron and Tiago partnership never worked, i hope CR would realize this by now, he didnt...
I cant believe how bad Almiron currently is, he is even worse than Olivera right now, how could we incapacinate him that fast?
What a waste of 30 mil from CR, Secco and CO
DP is off form, like someone pointed out, he isnt a starter anymore...
We have no wing if both Camo and Neddy are out,ever...
