Former Juventus midfielder Antonio Conte has backed the Bianconeri to bounce straight back into Serie A.
The current Arezzo boss was delighted with his ex-club’s showing against Modena, which was their third straight win since the opening day draw against Rimini.
However, the Turin outfit still find themselves at the bottom of the standings due to their 17-point deduction for their role in the Calciopoli saga.
“I never had any doubts about Juventus’ promotion and this is not just because I support them,” Conte insisted.
“I watched the first half of the Modena game and even if the Emiliani were more organised when the ball arrived at the feet of champions like David Trezeguet and Alessandro Del Piero, you could tell who was going to win.”
Albinoleffe boss Emiliano Mondonico has also tipped the Old Lady for promotion, although it will be a major disappointment to him after all the interest that the Bianconeri have brought to the second tier.
“Everything that is happening at the moment around Serie B is incredible and we all have to thank Juve for that,” he stated.
“Every team that will face them this year will try hard to beat them, so it’s surely not an easy job, but they have an amazing squad.
“I hope that their points handicap won’t be changed because once they get promoted, and they will, it would look like a true miracle – and no one will have anything to argue about.
“The only thing they have to be afraid of is themselves.
“Juve has to focus in every game and, although it won’t happen in the big matches, it may be a problem against the small teams.
“Well I hope they will think about something else when they will play us!”
However, Cesena boss Fabrizio Castori isn’t ready to climb on the bandwagon – although he does believe they will net a play-off spot.
“I don’t believe they are going to make it, they had a good start but may find other problems on the way,” he said.
“Serie B is a very balanced League. I’m sure Juventus will get into the play-off though. If they want automatic promotion then they need around 98 points – it’s not as easy as it looks.”
The Bianconeri will play against Piacenza next week, a good chance to show the Italian public that they mean business.
