Former Bianconeri midfielder Didier Deschamps has been confirmed as the new manager of the French national team.
The Bayonne-born coach spent two spells with the Bianconeri, captaining the side to several triumphs from 1994 to 1999, before returning to steer the club back into Serie A at the first time of asking in 2006/07.
His five-year experience in Turin was characterised by success: one Champions League, one European Super Cup, three league titles, one Coppa Italia and two Italian Super Cups.
Didier took his scintillating club form onto the international stage, completing the World Cup-European Championship double with his native France in 1998 and 2000.
