Every international cup is the same bullshit - short length, teams don't have enough time to prepare after the long club season, to check and be prepared to opponents tactics, only 1 match in the play off round so luck means a lot, for example England 1-4 Germany, if they had hawkeye back then then after 2-2 any scenario could have happen, there so many thing that affects your team that including base location, jetlag etc. etc.
